Lead QA Engineer with VoIP/SIP stack

**About the Role**We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer with strong VoIP and SIP stack expertise to join our Net2Phone UCaaS platform team. This role focuses primarily on manual testing, microservices/API validation, requirements testing alongside Product Owners, and establishing team-wide release guidelines. While the core day-to-day focus is manual execution and release orchestration, exposure to performance testing tools, build management, or Java test automation is a plus. ### What You Will Do - **Requirements Analysis & PO Collaboration:** Partner closely with Product Owners to build robust requirement lists, refine acceptance criteria, and execute early-stage requirements testing before development begins. - **Release Governance & Guidelines:** Help design, document, and standardize end-to-end release processes, quality gates, and deployment guidelines for the engineering team. - **Lead Manual & Integration Testing:** Plan and execute rigorous manual test cycles across microservices and REST/gRPC APIs to validate complex integration scenarios. - **Manage Release Operations:** Orchestrate deployment tasks, build triggers, and post-deployment verifications in Jenkins across testing and staging environments. - **Test Case Architecture:** Write, organize, and maintain detailed, step-by-step manual test cases and execution runs in Allure TestOps. - **VoIP & SIP Validation:** Conduct functional testing on real-call scenarios, media flows, and SIP protocol behavior under active network conditions. - **Agile Quality Gateway**: Participate actively in SCRUM ceremonies, manage defect lifecycles in Jira, and serve as the final quality sign-off for release candidates. ### What we expect **Must-Have** - **6+ Years in QA Engineering:** Deep focus on Backend and API/Microservices testing (REST, JSON, gRPC). - **2+ Years in VoIP / SIP Protocol Testing:** Call flow verification, media stream validation, WebRTC, or telecom load tools. - **SIP Tracing & System Diagnostics:** Strong command of Linux CLI and SIP tracing instruments (e.g., Hepic, CP Tools, tcpdump). - **English Proficiency:** Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher (written and spoken). **Nice to Have** - **Load & Performance Testing:** Hands-on experience with load and performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, SIPp). - **Build & Release Testing:** Direct experience validating, testing, and promoting software builds through release cycles. - **Programming & Automation Background:** Experience or familiarity with Java (11/17) and testing frameworks (JUnit5, TestNG, Gradle) to read code, assist with debugging, or contribute to automation efforts. **Tech Stack & Tooling** - **Domain & Protocols**: VoIP, SIP stack, WebRTC, REST APIs, gRPC, Microservices - **SIP Tracing & Diagnostics:** Hepic, CP Tools, tcpdump, Linux CLI - **CI/CD & Deployments:** Jenkins - **Test & Defect Management:** Allure TestOps, Jira - **Performance & Load (Bonus):** JMeter, Gatling, SIPp - **Languages & Frameworks (Bonus):** Java 11/17, JUnit5, TestNG, Gradle - **Methodology & Process:** Agile / SCRUM, Requirements Testing, Release Governance ### We offer you: - Remote b2b or hybrid (Belarus-Moldova) work opportunity! - Stable job with long-term growth perspective. - Competitive salary with annual performance review. - Really good hardware. - An exciting and challenging job with talented people around. - Continuous learning and career growth opportunities. - Compensation for professional training, seminars, and conferences. - Referral program – get rewarded for helping us grow the team with talented people. - Company-supported English classes to enhance your professional growth. - More perks for the Minsk and Chisinau office employees.
