Job description
[What the role is] As academic staff, you will play an active role in the academic, professional and personal development of your learners to prepare them for work & life. You will mentor PET and CET learners in transforming IT solutions into viable startup ventures, bridging technical innovation with business success. [What you will be working on] Curriculum & Teaching Design, evaluate, and enhance technopreneurship curricula, and co-develop training content with industry partners and startup ecosystem players Teaching and project supervision of PET and CET courses, including professional short courses in lean startup, business modeling, and IT commercialization Mentor learners through startup development from ideation to market launch, including business planning, customer validation, and pitch preparation Industry Collaboration Spearhead and identify new opportunities, initiatives, and collaborations with VCs, accelerators, incubators, and corporate partners Plan, lead, manage, and undertake IT startup project development with industry and SMEs Guide learners in accessing grants (mentorship Support, ECI, Startup SG) and funding opportunities #LI-Hybrid [What we are looking for] Essential: At least 3 years of experience working in IT relevant job roles. Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business, or related fields Good technical background in software development (front-end, back-end, full stack, architecture) Proficiency in traditional AI and generative/agentic AI Proficiency in cloud technologies Strong understanding of startup methodologies, business models, and venture development Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to connect effectively with diverse learners Good to have: Track record in fundraising, scaling startups, or bringing tech products to market Network within Singapore's startup ecosystem and familiarity with local funding landscape Prior teaching or mentoring experience in entrepreneurship Entrepreneurial mindset with practical, hands-on approach
