Students gain hands-on experience with lighting control systems, moving light programming both with hardware units as well as software control, and digital image projections. What You Will Do: Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies. Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends. Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path. Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University. What You Will Bring: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in production design, lighting for film or theatre, or a related content area with an emphasis in live events and broadcast medium AND 3 years of professional experience working in lighting and/or stage production. Preferred: Master’s degree in a related area; 3 years of college teaching experience, experience in several lighting programming languages, VectorWorks proficiency.
