Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist

Job description

**Duties and Responsibilities** - Perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols - Prepare, position, and assist patients during imaging exams to ensure comfort and accuracy - Operate and maintain radiologic and DEXA equipment safely and effectively - Ensure proper radiation safety practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff - Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation of procedures - Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines - Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment - Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members - Recognize equipment malfunctions and report issues promptly - Provide excellent customer service while addressing patient needs and concerns - Perform other duties as assigned **Education and Experience** - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (limited scope or equivalent) - Current registration as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist as required by the state - Valid CPR certification required - Previous clinical or radiology experience preferred but not required **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** - Knowledge of basic radiologic procedures, anatomy, and patient positioning techniques - Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control standards - Ability to operate radiographic and DEXA equipment competently - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols - Effective communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care - Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage multiple tasks - Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist patients, including lifting up to 40 pounds *Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
