**Job Title:** Clinical or Counselling Psychologist – Palliative Care (Oncology) **Banding:** Band 7 / 8a **Location:** West Midlands **Working Hours:** 3 days per week **Salary:** Competitive hourly rate (Band‑aligned) **Locum Clinical or Counselling Psychologist – Palliative Care (Oncology)** This locum opportunity places you at the heart of specialist oncology and palliative care service in the West Midlands. You will join a compassionate multidisciplinary team, offering psychological expertise that truly shapes patient experience - the post is available ASAP until the end of September. **Responsibilities** - Deliver specialist psychological assessments for individuals referred to the service, tailoring your approach to their unique needs. - Provide evidence‑based interventions including ACT, CFT and CBT to support patients, carers and families as they navigate diagnosis, treatment and end‑of‑life challenges. - Work collaboratively with MDT colleagues - Offer consultation and reflective support to staff managing complex emotional presentations. - Maintain high‑quality clinical records in line with professional standards. **Benefits** - Supportive and well‑established MDT within a specialist palliative care service - Part time working pattern – 3 days per week - Competitive Band 7/8a rates - Dedicated Pulse consultant for onboarding, compliance and ongoing support **Qualifications & Experience** - HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist - Desirable: Experience within palliative care, oncology, health psychology, adult mental health or other emotionally complex clinical settings is highly valued - Confidence working autonomously and collaboratively within MDT environments - Newly qualified psychologists or those without direct oncology experience are still encouraged to apply — transferable skills are welcomed **How to Apply** Submit your application and CV directly via the **Pulse website**.
