Grand Canyon University is seeking a server to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's golf course. Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to create a welcoming environment for customers in the bar through food and beverage service. Responsibilities Related to Purpose: Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks Restock and replenish inventory and supplies Provide exceptional customer service in all touch points with customers (information, greeting, food service, bar service, retail service). Promote a positive perception of the Company at all times both internally & externally Working shift work and weekends, and public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance Adhere to employee conduct, food and beverage regulations, uniform and personal hygiene requirements and report any incidents of complaint, accident, fire, loss or damage Equipment: Golf Cart (MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE & CLEAN DRIVING RECORD) QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates excellent customer services skills Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations and current Maricopa County certification Working knowledge of Responsible Service standards for alcohol and current certification as well as knowledge of Mixology and ability to prepare cocktails timely and meeting service protocols. Self- motivated and shows initiative to start and complete tasks. Good communications skills with a good command of the English language, conversational Spanish would be beneficial. Will be required to work weekends and holidays or extended hours as needed. Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master's program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements. Pay Rate: $12.15 per hour plus tips Anticipated End Date June 30, 2027 Number of Openings: 2
