Job description
[What the role is] Manager, Rail Performance Analysis [What you will be working on] The Rail Licensing Division is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to guide a team to undertake the responsibility of analysing rail operating performance, identifying trends and patterns to support informed decision-making and spearhead continuous improvement for rail information, in support of the development and regulation of Singapore’s Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) network. As a key member of the team, you will lead rail performance and analysis initiatives and be responsible for : a) Monitoring, analysing, and interpreting data to extract meaningful insights into rail performance; b) Conducting comprehensive assessments to ensure the accuracy of statistics; c ) Performing checks and audits on the data collection processes of rail operators; d) Reviewing, developing and implementing new rail performance indicators; and e) Fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to improve rail performance. [What we are looking for] • Knowledge in Statistics, Data Science, Business or related discipline . • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including minutes taking and technical writing skills . • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to develop strategic, evidence- based recommendations, coupled with keen insight into operational and ground challenges . • The ability to work both independently and as a team, and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. • Good time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines . • Self-motivation and resourcefulness to produce innovative solutions . • Leadership skills and relevant working experience in data analysis, sense making of data from systems or working experience in public sector or rail i ndustry will be an advantage .
