Macro Research Analyst

Job description

Binance is a leading global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users. We are trusted by 300+ million people in 100+ countries for our industry-leading security, user fund transparency, trading engine speed, deep liquidity, and an unmatched portfolio of digital-asset products. Binance offerings range from trading and finance to education, research, payments, institutional services, and more. Our mission is to increase the freedom of money and financial access for people around the world. **About the role** As a Macro Research Analyst, you will join Binance Research and help shape how the market understands digital assets. You will produce original research across macro, crypto, and industry themes, develop the narratives that frame the market's story week to week, and connect the macro and traditional-finance backdrop to the crypto economy. Your work will reach a global audience under one of the most widely read research brands in crypto, drive media coverage and institutional engagement, and feed the strategic intelligence relied on across the business. You will work closely with the wider research and content teams and build relationships with partners across the industry. **Responsibilities** - Produce and own institutional-grade research across macro, crypto, and Binance-related themes, developing original ideas, frameworks, and new methodologies, including work that connects the macro and traditional-finance backdrop to the crypto economy. - Build rigorous models and clear visualizations from market data, public on-chain data, and other sources to support the team's research and decision-making across the business. - Act as a proactive thought leader: stay ahead of market trends, risks, and opportunities, form original views early, and help shape the conversation on the themes that matter to the market and to Binance, from the macro backdrop and market structure to tokenization, DeFi, and institutional adoption. - Work with teams across the business to track and align narratives, ensuring their market developments roll up into the team's research, and the team's research in turn feeds Binance's broader narrative and supports their goals. - Build the team's external research network and share insights across the industry, amplifying the reach and distribution of research content and strengthening its positioning. **Requirements** - 3+ years in crypto research or a closely related role, or 5+ years in consulting, venture capital, or traditional finance, such as investment banking, asset management, or capital markets. - A deep understanding of macro and markets, and a feel for how the macro and traditional-finance backdrop connects to the crypto economy. - A track record of original thinking: forming differentiated views, building new frameworks, and shaping the narratives that set the agenda. - Ability to source, clean, and structure large datasets from multiple sources: including market data providers, and proprietary internal data, to produce publication-ready analysis - Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools for financial modeling; Python or R for data manipulation and visualisation, and familiarity with SQL or data querying is a plus. - Driven and collaborative, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus; CFA is a plus. **Why Binance** - Shape the future of finance - Collaborate with world-class talent in a user-centric global organization with a flat structure - Tackle challenging projects in a fast-paced and innovative enviornment with autonomy - Thrive in a results-driven workplace with opportunities for career growth and continuous learning - Competitive salary and company benefits - Remote-first, work-from-home arrangement (may vary depending on the nature of the role and team) Binance is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
