Job description
Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by installing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring machinery reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation. ### Key Responsibilities - Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and production equipment - Perform equipment rebuilds and upgrades to improve reliability and performance - Participate in scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs - Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls as part of a rotating on-call schedule - Collaborate daily with production teams and maintenance leadership regarding equipment status - Diagnose machine malfunctions and operational issues across multiple systems - Support root cause analysis and implement corrective solutions - Serve as a technical resource to equipment operators during troubleshooting - Evaluate assigned projects, plan repairs, and execute work within defined timelines - Anticipate risks and operational impacts before performing repairs or modifications - Ensure equipment is fully tested and operational following maintenance activities - Order necessary parts, materials, tools, and supplies - Help control maintenance costs while maintaining quality and reliability standards - Maintain accurate communication regarding plant conditions impacting safety, cost, or production - Promote strong working relationships and open communication across teams - Stay current with evolving maintenance technologies and industry best practices - Follow all plant safety procedures, housekeeping requirements, and work rules ### Qualifications - Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment - Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; electrical knowledge a plus - Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, conveyors, or automated equipment - Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation - Comfortable working independently and within a team environment - Strong organizational and communication skills - Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
