Manager - Business & Corporate Banking (Civil & Structural Engineering Specialist)

If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us… Functional (job responsibilities) To be responsible for developing and overseeing growth of the Loan Portfolio for Contract Financing within Business Corporate Banking (BCB). To provide expertise specific to Contract Financing related opportunities which include guiding Business Centres (BCs) and Relationship Managers (RMs) in their analysis, preparation of the credit papers and to review as well as recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks (if any) or identify opportunities (where it exists). To conduct technical due diligence on project documents, work programmes, cost estimates, cash flow projections, progress report and payment certifications, variations orders (VO), Extension of Time (EOT), liquidated damages (LAD) and project risk management. To perform project monitoring through progress reviews, site visits and verification of project milestones to ensure timely completion and early identification of potential risks. To preserve the asset quality of the Bank at all times. To conduct consultation with customers and other relevant stakeholders in accordance with relevant policies, framework and guidelines established within the Contract Financing risk appetite framework of the bank. To implement sustainable and environmentally responsible practices in the CRE strategy that aligns with the Bank's values. To establish good working contact with other related departments within the Bank on collaborative efforts within BCB for example with BCB ESG & Sustainability team. Skills & Experience We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or Engineering related discipline. Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in construction, project management, contract administration industry. Strong understanding of construction contracts, project cash flows, procurement methods and project execution. Ability to analyze technical, commercial and operational risks of engineering and construction projects. Professional Engineer or Graduate Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is an added advantage.
