Manager, DTC Analytics

Job description

| | | --- | | **About Harry’s** Harry’s is a men’s grooming brand that offers high quality shave, body, hair, and skin care products at an exceptional value. Launched in 2013, Harry’s redefined the shaving experience and helped pioneer the earliest era of direct to consumer in the process. Since then, the brand has become the #2 shave brand globally and expanded to offer products for every step in its customer’s routine. Harry’s is also on a mission to ensure guys have access to quality mental health care. To date, the brand has helped connect over 2 million men to quality mental health resources. Harry’s is part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,” the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date. We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it. | ### **About the Team** The Centralized Insights & Analytics (CIA) team is a critical function that drives proactive insights-to-action within the US Personal Care organization. The CIA organization unites capabilities across data science, analytics, insights, and category management into an integrated function to translate insights into action for everyday decisions and more complex business questions, helping shape the future of our business strategy and enabling us to best serve our customers. Capabilities built by this team will meaningfully impact the business through marketing optimization, channel strategy, site optimization, selling stories, thought leadership, innovation, and overall consumer/shopper experience. **About the Role** As the Analytics Manager for DTC, you'll build and drive the reporting and diagnostic analytics that advance our strategy - and turn that analysis into a point of view. You'll design and report on DTC KPIs and analyses spanning the user journey from acquisition through conversion, post-purchase engagement and retention, subscriptions, distribution, and site experimentation. When a stakeholder brings you a question, they should walk away with a recommendation, not just a chart or data point - that means connecting the dots across data sources, business priorities, and customer signal, and knowing which questions are worth chasing and which aren't. We need someone with strong business acumen, excellent storytelling skills, a passion for consumer empathy, a robust technical toolkit, and the confidence to share a strong point of view, even with people more senior than you. You'll work with key decision-makers throughout the DTC organization, and share your insights and recommendations - and defend them - with all levels of the business. **Here's what you'll accomplish:** - Synthesizing data on a regular basis to provide the DTC team with brand-level insights on business health - and a clear recommendation on what to do about it, not just the numbers - Leverage our BI tool Omni to build, maintain, and own dashboards that empower the business to interpret and act quickly. (e.g., track inventory issues across retailers and build actionable alerting.) - Become an expert on existing DTC reporting and drive towards improvement - Plan, design, and implement reports that highlight key performance indicators - Enhance our A/B testing reporting suite - Track new feature launches by Product & Engagement teams and build/manage the reporting for how they perform - Work closely with the teams in our DTC Org to drive value for the business - Gain a strong understanding of their data problems and use our Analytics toolkit to find a solution (What data do we need, how can we get it, and how can we automate reporting?) - Driving deep analysis of the whats and whys of key drivers to surface hypotheses for action - Be a strong, trusted voice and thought leader for the brands you support - bringing a well-reasoned point of view to the table, and comfortable sharing it with stakeholders at all levels - Enable your stakeholders and leaders to get sharper and smarter on the data, the business, and how we tackle our biggest questions just by working alongside you - Bring a strong, well-reasoned point of view and advocate for the brands you support, comfortable doing so with people more senior than you - Your impact and influence comes from how much smarter you make the people around you and your strong perspective - Help define how we measure and report out on performance on ecommerce across key KPIs, set up dashboarding capability, and regularly track and share the overall performance of the business to drive strategic planning - Identify analytics pain points and inefficiencies, and develop new tools and automated processes to optimize and streamline. AI is integral to the work, not an afterthought. - Be a data-evangelist and sparring partner across the organization, sharing best practices and insights and willing to challenge the status quo with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at every level ### **This may describe you:** - 5+ years in data analytics or a similarly analytical field, using data to drive decision-making and narrative development in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, with a strong understanding of the role analytics plays in a cross-disciplinary digital product development lifecycle. - Proficient Technical Skill – Fluent in SQL (Python or R a plus), with the ability to query, manipulate, and analyze data end-to-end to accelerate the business. - BI Tool Fluency – Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards and models in a modern BI platform. We currently run in Omni; prior experience with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI will be an enabler. - AI-Forward – You use AI tools to speed up your own analysis, and you're comfortable helping others on the team build that same fluency. - Business Acumen & Judgment – You connect the dots across data sources, business priorities, and customer signal, and you have a nose for which questions are worth chasing - so you spend your time on the highest-impact problems, not just the interesting ones. - Engaged Thought Partner – When someone brings you a question, they leave with a recommendation and a point of view, not just an analysis plan. You can point to specific insights that changed a real decision, not just reports you've shipped. - Clear, Confident Communicator – You explain complex ideas simply, and you're as comfortable challenging a room full of senior stakeholders as you are presenting to them. - You thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication and feedback - You are infectiously optimistic and curious - To you, there’s nothing more exciting than a new challenge. Hard things are hard, but you don’t let that get in the way **Who you will work with:** - You will report to the Sr. Director of Omnichannel Analytics, with a dotted line to our VP of DTC - Within the broader CIA org, you'll work most closely with the other data analysts and analytics engineers on the team. - Within the larger Digital org, you’ll work closely with our DTC team (Product/Engagement/CX) as well as Distribution and Finance. **Benefits and perks** - **Medical, dental, and vision coverage** - **401k match** - **Equity in Mammoth Brands** - **Flexible time off and working hours** - **L&D stipend** - **4 weeks sabbatical after 5 years, 6 weeks after 10 years, and 8 weeks after 15 years** - **20 fully paid weeks off for parents who give birth, or 16 fully paid weeks off for all other paths to parenthood** - **Fun IRL and virtual events including happy hours, team building events, and parties on our rooftop** - **Free products from our family of brands** *The Mammoth Brands' working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
