Job description
**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager - HRIS, Workday - Talent & Core HCM based in India.** This role offers the opportunity to serve as a hands-on Workday functional expert supporting Core HCM and Talent solutions. You will help shape scalable HR technology solutions that improve employee and manager experiences across a global organization. The position combines deep Workday configuration expertise with strong business partnership and strategic problem-solving. You will work closely with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, IT, and business leaders to translate complex needs into effective system solutions. The role also plays a key part in reporting, analytics, release management, process improvement, and HR technology projects. This is an impactful opportunity for an experienced HRIS professional to contribute to a connected, scalable, and future-ready HR technology environment ### Accountabilities: - Serve as a functional subject matter expert for Workday Core HCM, Talent, Performance, Succession, Career, Skills, and related employee lifecycle processes. - Lead the design, configuration, testing, deployment, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday solutions. - Configure Workday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, notifications, eligibility rules, and security-driven functionality. - Manage Workday releases, feature adoption, regression testing, deployment activities, and related documentation. - Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and calculated fields while ensuring data quality and integrity. - Provide HR and Talent leaders with workforce insights and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making. - Partner with Talent Management, HR Business Partners, Compensation, HR Operations, and IT teams globally to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions. - Lead functional workstreams for major HR technology projects and enhancements while balancing multiple priorities and maintaining delivery quality. - Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual activities, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall user experience. - Assess downstream impacts across business processes, integrations, and reporting, while ensuring solutions remain scalable and aligned with governance standards. - Support change management, user adoption, audits, compliance reviews, and HR technology governance activities. ### Requirements: - Hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline. - Bring 8+ years of experience in HRIS or HR technology and at least 5 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience. - Demonstrate strong expertise across Workday Core HCM, Talent, Performance, Succession, Career, and business processes. - Have proven experience developing advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields. - Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills. - Have experience supporting global HR organizations and operating effectively within complex, matrixed environments. - Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and issue-resolution capabilities, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations. - Be highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. - Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, and HRIS systems. - Take a proactive approach to identifying issues, escalating risks, and driving solutions while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. - Workday certifications in HCM, Compensation, Talent, or Integrations are strongly preferred. - Experience with Workday integrations such as Studio, EIB, or APIs is preferred. - Prior experience mentoring analysts or leading projects is desirable. ### Benefits: - Remote work opportunity from India. - Opportunity to work on global HR technology initiatives with broad organizational impact. - Exposure to Workday Core HCM, Talent, reporting, analytics, integrations, and enterprise HR technology transformation. - Opportunities to drive process simplification, automation, scalability, and improved employee experiences. - Collaboration with global HR, IT, Talent, and business stakeholders. - Opportunities to lead functional workstreams and contribute to strategic HR technology projects. - Potential to mentor colleagues and further develop Workday and HR technology expertise. - Full-time position within a global, technology-enabled HR environment.
