Job Description The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Requirements Good understanding of various capabilities of Subtractive Manufacturing which includes but not limited to Milling, Turning, chemical and electrical. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and assembly. Familiar with manufacturing equipment. Proficient in print reading. Must have good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for English and Metric system. Knowledgeable to various inspection techniques and methods Familiar in relevant software like Solidworks, MS Office Project management skills Lean Manufacturing experience and knowledge. Able to identify and eliminate waste consistent with Lean principles Committed to health and safety standards and environmental regulations Degree in Engineering; post-graduate degree is a plus Responsibilities Responsible for preparing and supporting the transition of new products and revision changes into manufacturing and assembly operations (NPI Lead) Continuous Improvement initiatives Prepare BOM and any manufacturing documentation including work instructions, procedures, material records, SPS, Red Line prints, create dwgs from solid models etc. Review, resolve and escalate daily engineering, production and quality issues Support manufacturing lines by providing engineering and technical expertise to daily production activity including machining, assembly, production quality and documentation Provide operator training and process improvement Other duties and special projects as assigned Education / Experience 3 years manufacturing engineering experience with direct involvement in the development and production of mechanical components. College degree or equivalent is a plus.
