Manufacturing Technician

Job description

**About Maven** Maven Robotics designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing. Maven is building the first general-purpose robotics system for industrial work. Our mission is to activate autonomous labor at scale and build toward infinitely elastic industrial capacity. We’re a team of engineers, researchers, and operators who have spent our careers working on the hardest problems in AI, robotics, engineering, and autonomous systems. We work at the intersection of advanced research and real-world engineering, turning ideas into prototypes and deployed systems. At Maven, we build around the realities of industrial work. The robots are designed from first principles for complex physical environments and rigorous commercial standards. They master real tasks that deliver immediate impact, industrial-grade reliability, and intelligence that compounds at scale. We’re growing an ambitious team of people who think in systems, move quickly, and are builders at heart. **About the Role** As a Manufacturing Technician at Maven Robotics, you will create sub-assemblies, build wiring harnesses and fully assemble robots. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and integration teams to build, configure complex electromechanical systems and prototypes. **What You’ll Do** - **Assembly & Integration:** Build and configure complex electromechanical assemblies using engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions. - **Wiring & Electrical:** Perform soldering, harness assembly, crimping, and custom wiring in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. - Testing & Troubleshooting: Execute end-of-line tests and diagnose mechanical and electrical system failures. - **Process Improvement:** Improve lab efficiency, SOPs, and assembly and testing procedures. - **Lab Maintenance & Safety:** Maintain equipment calibration, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with robotics lab safety protocols **What We’re Looking For** - 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or prototyping environments - High school diploma, vocational certification, or equivalent practical/military experience - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams - Proficiency with multimeters and precision assembly tools, including calipers and torque wrenches - Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and protocols - Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset **Nice to Have** - Experience with robot assembly - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IPC standards, Machining/CNC, ISO quality standards - Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or prototyping environment **Equal Opportunity** Maven Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
