If you’re excited about pushing boundaries in tech and delivering a game-changing experience for consumers and merchants alike, come join us at Sezzle and help create the future of shopping! ### **About the Role** We are seeking a data-driven, highly organized **Marketplace Operations & Experimentation Specialist**to join our Marketplace team and report to the Product Manager for Marketplace. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement. The Marketplace is where shoppers discover stores, products, and deals inside the Sezzle app. Our team runs a lot of features, and there's almost always something being tested. You'll be the person who knows what's live, who it's live for, and how it's performing. This is an operations role with a strong product and data lens. You'll launch and track A/B tests, keep an eye on our shopping partners, and turn results into clear recommendations on what we do next. You'll work closely with product, engineering, data, design, and partnerships. If you like running a lot of experiments at once and keeping every one of them organized, this role is for you. #### **The salary range for this role is **$2,000 - $2,666** per month (Gross in USD)** ### **What You’ll Do** **Experimentation** - Set up, QA, and launch A/B tests across Marketplace features. Make sure targeting, variants, and tracking are right before anything goes live. - Monitor running tests, flag issues early, and call results once they reach significance. - Keep a single source of truth for every test: what's live, who sees it, and what we learned. **Partner & Marketplace Operations** - Create and manage placements, promotions, coupons, and offers across the Sezzle app. - Set up and manage cashback programs in our internal admin tools. - Onboard new online stores into the marketplace and activate their store domains, so more stores are shoppable in the app. - Keep a clear map of which user and merchant segments see which features, placements, and offers. - Run regular QA audits, work through user-reported issues and broken links, and set up alerts so problems get caught before users notice. **Reporting & Process** - Benchmark our shopping experience against competitors and bring new ideas for placements, deals, and offers that get more users shopping. - Document test plans, results, and processes, and find parts of the workflow that can be automated with AI. ### **What We Look For** **Required** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. - 1 to 3+ years of experience in operations, experimentation, or product analytics. - Highly organized. You can run many tests and workstreams at once without anything slipping. - Clear written and verbal communication in English, with teammates across the business and external partners. - Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with SQL and dashboards, and able to read A/B test results (lift, significance, sample size). - Comfortable in a fast-changing environment where priorities shift. - Detail-oriented with a QA mindset. You catch the targeting mistake before it launches. - Daily user of Claude or a similar AI tool. You use it to analyze data, write queries, draft docs, and automate repetitive work, and you can walk us through real examples. **Nice to Have** - Experience with A/B testing or feature flag tools, such as Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Statsig, or Firebase. - Experience with affiliate, cashback, or advertising partnerships. - Experience with Jira and Confluence. - Experience with mobile apps and product analytics tools, such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar. **About You:** - **You have relentlessly high standards** - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed. - **You’re not bound by convention** - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things - **You need action** - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking. - **You earn trust** - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully. - **You have backbone; disagree, then commit** - you can respectfully challenge decisions when you disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. You have conviction and are tenacious. You do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, you commit wholly. - **You deliver results** - you focus on the key inputs and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle. **What Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:** At Sezzle, we are more than just brilliant engineers, passionate data enthusiasts, out-of-the-box thinkers, and determined innovators. We believe in surrounding ourselves with only the best and the brightest individuals. Our culture is not defined by a certain set of perks designed to give the illusion of the traditional startup culture, but rather, it is the visible example living in every employee that we hire. #Li-remote #Full-time
