Job Description Title: Material Handler- Stand Up Forklift Location: 200 Michael Angelo Way, Austin, TX 78728 Pay: $18.55/hr + .50-cent shift differential Hours: 2nd Shift 2:30pm -11:00 pm Position Summary Loads trucks according to load charts; processes receiving paperwork. Essential Functions • Load trucks accurately within prescribed timelines, as per load charts • Must be able to read load charts and bill of lading • Completes paperwork timely and accurately, including Bill of Lading (BOL) Sales Orders and Pre-load Inspection forms • Performs product consolidations and BIN transfers, using forklift when required • Operates stand-up forklift in safe manner; completes forklift inspections and check-sheets before using forklift • Performs scheduled and impromptu inventory cycle counts • Follows all Company rules, including, but not limited to: SOPs, GMPs, Safety, PPE, and all rules prescribed by the USDA and FDA • Performs other related duties and special assignments as required or assigned by Supervisor Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • High School Diploma or GED required • Basic math skills required; must be able to read, write, and speak English • Requires 6 months of material handling in a warehouse environment; previous inventory control experience desirable (SAP, etc) • Must be able to drive a stand-up forklift and be certified as a forklift driver • Bilingual a plus Physical Demands and Work Environment • Will be required to work in freezer environment for long periods of time • Must be able to travel throughout Production areas and stand for long periods of time • Must be able to push, pull, and lift heavy loads (75 lbs.) • Must be able to work flexible hours based upon needs of operation Documentation and Procedures The following procedures will be performed: 1. Safety Rules and GMPs in area 2. Product Quality Standards 3. Production Personal Protective Equipment. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $18.55/hr + .50-cent shift differential Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
