SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is looking to fill a maternity leave position for the 2025-2026 school year in our Early Learning Center (Nursery-Kindergarten). **Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with grade-level and classroom teams to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities - Lead and facilitate small group learning to support individualized instruction and growth - Contribute to a warm, inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and independence - Partner with co-teachers to carry out daily classroom routines and support students' social-emotional and academic development - Support classroom needs outside of teaching time, including lunch and recess supervision **Qualifications:** - Ability to build meaningful connections with children and create an environment of mutual respect - Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills - Knowledge of child development of principles in social, emotional and cognitive areas - Creative, flexible and open-minded approach to teaching and learning - Demonstrated experience in early childhood classrooms and familiarity with current best practices - Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a team-oriented environment SAR Academy offers a supportive and welcoming environment for educators to grow professionally while making a lasting impact on young learners.
