**Mechanical Engineer** This position will be responsible for the design, installation, and startup of process equipment and components. Candidates must have extensive mechanical design / build experience with demonstrated troubleshooting skills. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Design, installation, and startup processes for major equipment projects throughout the manufacturing plant. - Coordinate with production on new equipment design, tooling design and equipment installation. - Troubleshooting problems with existing equipment. - Working closely with Process Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and outside vendors. - Equipment training, process and design / drawing documentation. - Improve reliability and performance of new and existing equipment. **Requirements** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - Extensive experience in designing high-speed manufacturing equipment (Design, Installation and Training of personnel). - Extensive experience in mechanical assembly and equipment troubleshooting. **Preferred Requirements:** - Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Word and Excel). - Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Electrical. - Must be self-motivated, able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. - Position could require some domestic and international travel working on projects related to the development, testing and evaluation of industrial equipment for production facilities. **EEO Statement** **Kyocera-AVX is an Equal Opportunity Employer:** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity**,** national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
