Job Description-Vision Rx Lab Position- Mechanical Engineer Position Overview We are looking for an experienced 5-10 yrs Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on exposure to ultra-low temperature refrigeration, vacuum systems, coating processes, and core mechanical utilities in a process-industry environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization of critical mechanical and coating systems. Educational Qualification Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering Relevant technical certifications in refrigeration, vacuum technology, or coating processes will be an added advantage. Posting -Kolkata and ready to travel as per requirement Reporting:- Senior Manager-Maintenance Experience Relevant experience in process industries, coating plants, vacuum systems, refrigeration, or specialized manufacturing equipment . Hands-on experience with ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems operating below -100°C is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities 1. Ultra-Low Temperature Refrigeration Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems operating below -100°C . Strong understanding of cascade refrigeration systems, cryogenic cooling applications, and low-temperature compressors . Diagnose refrigeration system performance issues, temperature fluctuations, pressure deviations, compressor problems, and refrigerant-related issues. Monitor system parameters and optimize equipment performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. 2. Coating Process & Equipment Operate and maintain industrial coating equipment and associated mechanical systems . Understand coating process parameters and support process optimization and quality improvement . Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of coating equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, temperature, and process-related issues. Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and performance improvement activities. 3. Core Mechanical Systems Hands-on knowledge of pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, compressors, pumps, valves, piping, and mechanical drives . Knowledge of HVAC systems , refrigeration utilities, air-conditioning systems, and associated mechanical equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and ensure high equipment availability. Identify recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions. 4. Maintenance & Reliability Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment. Conduct root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions. Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, spare-parts requirements, and technical documentation. Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and external vendors for equipment-related issues. Preferred Candidate Profile Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting capability . Good understanding of process-industry equipment and utilities. Ability to work independently in a technically demanding environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good coordination with Production, Engineering, EHS, Quality, and external service providers. Willingness to work in a 24×7 manufacturing/process environment , including emergency breakdown support when required.
