Job description
**About DevRev** At DevRev, we're building the future of work with *Computer* – your AI teammate. Unlike traditional tools, *Computer* unifies all your data sources, tools, and workflows into a single AI-ready platform, giving employees real-time insights, proactive suggestions, and powerful agentic actions. It extends your existing software with AI-native apps and agents that work alongside your teams and customers – updating workflows, coordinating across teams, and eliminating repetitive work. We call this Team Intelligence: human-AI collaboration that breaks down silos, brings people back together, and frees you to solve bigger problems. Backed by Khosla Ventures and Mayfield with $150M+ raised, DevRev is trusted by global companies across industries. **What you'll do** As a Member of the Technical Staff, in the role of a Software Engineer at DevRev, you'll build customer-facing product capabilities across the stack. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to understand customer problems, make thoughtful technical trade-offs, and deliver experiences that are useful, intuitive, and reliable. You'll own features from concept through production: shaping requirements, designing APIs and data flows, implementing backend services, writing tests, and iterating from customer and engineering feedback. You'll contribute to a modern, AI-native SaaS platform that brings product, support, and growth teams together around the customer. **In this role you'll** - Build end-to-end product features across responsive web interfaces, APIs, backend services, and data models. - Design, build, and evolve scalable backend APIs, services, and data flows that support reliable, multi-tenant SaaS capabilities. - Contribute to user-facing experiences and integrations where needed, partnering with front-end engineers to deliver cohesive product features. - Write high-quality, maintainable code; participate in code reviews; and improve testing, performance, accessibility, security, and observability. - Investigate production issues, participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation as well as post-incident follow-ups, and use what you learn to prevent repeat problems. - Collaborate across product, design, and engineering in a global team, communicating trade-offs clearly and helping ship customer value quickly. - Build skills and automations that help our infrastructure and application engineering teams implement, build, and deploy services faster and more reliably. - Improve observability, alerting, and cost visibility across services, in line with our resource tagging and telemetry standards. - Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate learning, implementation, testing, and documentation. **What you'll need** - You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production web applications, or SaaS products. - You have hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure). - You have strong programming experience in at least one backend language such as Go, Java, Python, or Node.js. - You have experience designing and developing APIs, backend services, and SDKs. - You understand relational and NoSQL databases, asynchronous processing, and the trade-offs involved in building scalable, reliable systems. - You have shipped user-facing features and care deeply about usability, performance, reliability, security, and thoughtful interaction design. - You write clean, well-tested code and are comfortable with code review, debugging, and working through ambiguous product and technical problems. - You have strong communication and collaboration skills, and are comfortable working across a distributed, global team. - Comfortable designing and implementing in an AI-first organization. - You have a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. **Bonus points** - You have experience with multi-tenant SaaS systems, event-driven architecture, message buses or queues, and high-throughput distributed services. - You have experience with cloud-native development practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production observability. - You have worked with AI/ML-powered product capabilities, including LLM applications, agentic workflows, search, or recommendation systems. - You've contributed to reusable component libraries, internal developer tooling, or open-source projects. - You have exposure to observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces) and OpenTelemetry. - You have solid working knowledge of infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform, and are comfortable with YAML, Helm charts, HCL, and Argo CD. - You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy taking ownership of project outcomes. **Why join DevRev** You'll build products that directly change how companies connect their customers, support teams, product teams, and developers. You'll work on a modern, AI-native platform with a global group of engineers, designers, and product leaders who care about craft, customer empathy, and shipping meaningful outcomes. This is an opportunity to own work end-to-end, grow quickly through real product challenges, and help shape a platform used by teams building the next generation of SaaS companies. *DevRev is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition, or any other basis protected by law.*
