Our partner is looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Senior Consultant - Finance based in Canada.** This is a senior consulting opportunity for an ERP professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance. You’ll partner directly with clients to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and design effective ERP solutions. The role spans the full implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and configuration through testing, training, deployment, and ongoing support. You’ll use your accounting and finance expertise to help organizations improve processes and maximize the value of their ERP investments. As a trusted client advisor, you’ll present solutions, manage expectations, navigate complex conversations, and drive sustainable change. The position is fully remote across North America, with approximately 25–40% travel depending on client and project requirements. You’ll join a collaborative consulting environment focused on delivering high-quality Microsoft business solutions and measurable customer outcomes. ### Accountabilities - Partner with clients to understand business processes, objectives, and finance requirements, identifying system fits, gaps, risks, and required levels of effort. - Lead and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance implementations, including requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. - Configure and tailor ERP functionality to address client and industry requirements, including workflows, reports, dashboards, and finance processes. - Apply strong accounting and finance knowledge across areas such as chart of accounts, dimensions, sales tax, banking, compliance, and financial processes. - Review existing business processes and recommend improvements aligned with finance best practices and Business Central capabilities. - Develop test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solutions meet agreed requirements. - Train end users and administrators, clearly explaining system functionality and helping clients adopt new processes and tools effectively. - Provide ongoing application support and maintenance, resolving issues proactively and preventing escalations or project disruptions. - Maintain detailed documentation covering system configurations, business processes, customizations, testing, and other project deliverables. - Support change management activities by identifying risks and blockers early and working with project leadership and clients to resolve them. - Communicate confidently with stakeholders, balancing client expectations with recommended system solutions and business best practices. - Collaborate closely with other consultants and project team members to deliver high-quality outcomes within established frameworks and timelines. ## Requirements - **5+ years of experience** working with ERP systems, with substantial hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance. - Strong accounting and finance knowledge, with practical understanding of financial processes, chart of accounts, dimensions, sales tax, banking, compliance, and related ERP functionality. - Experience across the full ERP delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution configuration, testing, training, documentation, troubleshooting, and support. - Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements, identify gaps, and translate them into practical and scalable ERP solutions. - Strong client-facing consulting skills, including the ability to present solutions confidently, influence stakeholders, manage expectations, and navigate difficult conversations. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they affect project delivery. - Strong understanding of change management and the ability to support users through process and technology transformations. - Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within high-performing consulting and project teams. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Comfortable working within established delivery frameworks and managing multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accountability. - Willingness and ability to travel approximately **25–40%**, depending on client and project needs. - Experience as either a Business Central Finance end user or consultant is relevant, provided the candidate has strong functional expertise. - A passion for accounting, finance, ERP technology, and helping organizations improve their operations. ## Benefits - Competitive annual compensation of approximately **$100,000–$140,000**, with the source also indicating an estimated OTE range of **$110,000–$140,000 USD** depending on location and experience. - Fully remote work arrangement across North America. - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. - Access to a **401(k) retirement plan**. - Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick leave. - Opportunities to work on diverse ERP transformation and implementation projects. - Exposure to a broad range of client businesses, industries, finance processes, and technology challenges. - Opportunities to deepen expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related Microsoft business technologies. - Collaborative environment with experienced ERP and Microsoft solutions professionals. - Career growth opportunities within a specialized consulting organization. - Approximately 25–40% travel, offering regular opportunities for direct client engagement and project exposure.
