We are looking for a **Middle DevOps Engineer** to join our backend team behind one of the most powerful live-streaming platforms in the industry. You will keep our high-load infrastructure fast, reliable, and cost-efficient while working hand-in-hand with backend engineers on a system built to serve a massive global audience in real time. This is a role for someone who thinks in systems, isn't afraid to dig into the product's architecture, and is genuinely curious about using AI tools to work smarter, not just faster. **About our product**: We are building one of the most powerful live-streaming platforms, already connecting 400K+ monthly active users through live events, interactive video chats, and real-time community experiences. Are you in? ### In this role, you will - Keep our Kubernetes infrastructure smooth and self-healing, maintaining manifests that power a high-load, real-time product - Fine-tune Karpenter so our nodes scale up and down exactly when they need to, no waste, no lag - Build the alerting nervous system of our infra, piping critical issues straight to Slack before they become incidents - Design Grafana dashboards that give the team a clear, real-time view of both tech health and product metrics - Set up Firebase alerts for Cloud Functions to catch issues at the source - Roll out Artifactory (e.g. JFrog) and unlock automated testing on CI, making releases faster and safer - Own cost control and optimization, turning infrastructure spend into a metric you actively improve - Connect the dots between Gitlab, Slack, and Approvals, and stand up a self-hosted Sentry to give the team full visibility into what's breaking and why ### It’s all about you - 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments - Solid experience with AWS services: EC2, ECR, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, Route53 - Experience supporting a self-hosted Kafka cluster and building custom monitoring metrics - Strong Terraform configuration skills - Hands-on experience with K8s, Flux, Kustomize, Helm setup - Experience with Gitlab pipelines - Experience with infra monitoring and alerting tools - Practical AI knowledge and active hands-on use of AI tools (e.g. Claude) in daily work ### Would be a plus - Well-organized and result-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines - Proactive, able to learn fast, strong critical thinking - Experience with Node.js ### What we offer - **Care and support:** - 20 paid vacation days, 15 sick leave days, and 6 additional days off for family events - 100% medical insurance coverage - Sports and equipment reimbursement - Team building events, corporate gifts, and stylish merch - Financial and legal support - Maternity Recovery Support Allowance - Position retention and support for those who join the Armed Forces of Ukraine - Participation in social initiatives supporting Ukraine - **Comfortable working environment:** - Work from our Kyiv hub or remotely with a flexible schedule - Modern equipment or depreciation of your own tools - **Investment in your future:** - Collaborate with a highly-skilled team of Middle & Senior professionals, sharing practical cases and expertise in the social networking niche - 70% of our heads and leads have grown into their roles here – so can you! - Performance-oriented reviews and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) - Reimbursement for professional courses and English classes - Corporate library, book club, and knowledge-sharing events ### Hiring process - Intro call - Technical interview - Interview with Hiring Manager - Reference check - Offer
