NewGen US - Marketing Manager FTC

Job description

Location: NYC office Hybrid - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office. Reports to: Marketing Director, UK and Managing Director, U.S. At NewGen, we’re a global social creative and creator agency made up of over 100 talented people worldwide, with offices in London (UK), Manchester (UK), and New York (USA). We partner with leading brands to shape culture, tell stories that matter, and harness the power of social first creative and creators to drive meaningful impact. As a fast-growing agency with a collaborative, ambitious spirit, we bring together data, strategy, creativity, and innovation to deliver work that actually cuts through, connects and creates conversation. Founded by our 30-under-30 co-founders, NewGen is an independent agency working with some of the world’s biggest brands. Privately owned and built to challenge the big networks and stale-traditional agencies, we move fast, live social, and know that our fresh ideas can compete with anyone. In fact, we know it’s the only way to deliver work consumers care about. Our work is trusted by some of the world’s biggest brands, including Pepsi, Samsung, Amazon, SEGA, and CashApp. Just as importantly, we’re the agency of choice for leading creators shaping culture today — from KSI and Amelia Dimoldenberg to PewDiePie. When the people driving conversations and influencing audiences trust us, it’s no surprise that the world’s most ambitious brands do too. Want to join the team, here are our non-negotiables. Energy – Get involved, be heard, and contribute. This isn’t the place for an easy ride — we want people who bring energy and ideas. Quality – Quality comes first. If it doesn’t feel right, speak up. Everything we create should push boundaries and break new ground. Collaboration – We win as a team. No egos, no judgment — just support, collaboration, and collective success. Creativity – We thrive on fresh thinking. New ideas and bold approaches are what keep us moving forward. Partnership – Be a great partner to our clients. Everything we do should deliver on their objectives and create a positive, collaborative experience. This is paramount. What’s it like in the New York office? Life in our New York office is all about start-up energy with the backing of a global agency. Based in the heart of Flatiron, we’re a close-knit team building something special and looking for people who want to grow with us. We value curiosity and a deep understanding of the social landscape, and we’re excited by people who want to help shape our journey. We work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of three days a week in the office to keep collaboration and creativity at the core of what we do. The Role We are seeking a Marketing Manager to support and execute marketing initiatives aligned with our agency’s U.S. objectives, reporting into our Marketing Director, UK. You’ll be the US lead for our global marketing plan, working hand in hand with the Marketing Director to bring global priorities to life in the US market and feed US insight back into the wider plan. This role involves close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, as well as owning US-led initiatives and supporting UK-led campaigns to ensure consistent messaging across all channels. This individual will support the business development team by researching and identifying strategic growth opportunities, as well as planning and promoting key events to boost brand visibility within the US. As Marketing Manager at NewGen, you will: Implement the Global Marketing Plan in the US - Own the US rollout of NewGen’s global marketing plan, adapting global campaigns, messaging and priorities for a US audience while keeping the brand consistent across markets. Partner with the Marketing Director, UK - Work closely with your line manager to set US marketing priorities, agree plans and budgets, and share market insight, competitor activity and opportunities that should shape the global plan. Expect regular check-ins across time zones and a high degree of autonomy day to day. Reporting and Measurement - Track and report on US marketing performance against the KPIs set in the global plan, flagging what’s working, what isn’t, and where we should double down. Coordinate with our PR Firm - Collaborate with our external PR agency to align media and press strategies with the agency’s U.S. marketing objectives and the wider global narrative. Marketing Support - Assist in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for the US business, ensuring consistent messaging across campaigns and channels, as well as supporting UK-led marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Director and wider UK marketing team. Event Planning - Support the organization and promotion of industry events, client engagements, and speaking opportunities to enhance brand visibility. Support the organization and planning of owned events, including breakfasts and dinners, with the goal of engaging prospective clients. Business Development Research - Support the business development team by identifying B2B leads and growth opportunities that align with the agency’s target brands and industries. Internal Collaboration - Work closely with US and UK based stakeholders to ensure marketing activities support creative output and business development strategy, acting as the bridge between US leadership and the global marketing function. Social first x brand impact Being socially native is at the heart of everything we do at NewGen. We’re not an advertising agency — we live and breathe culture, constantly plugged into the trends, conversations, and creators that are shaping the world. To succeed here, you need a deep understanding of the creator landscape, an instinct for what resonates online, and the ability to translate trends and cultural insight into work that feels authentic, bold, and social-first. This mindset allows us to create campaigns that don’t just reach audiences, but actively engage and inspire them. It’s ok to be ‘chronically online’. These aren’t mandatories, but we’d love you to have: 3+ years experience working in a marketing, events or PR function Knowledge of social media trends, platforms, and creator culture Experience in working with social first clients and teams Knowledge of the gaming industry and its creators is a plus, reflecting our heritage and strength in this space Experience working in fast-paced, agency environments Ability to translate creative ideas into measurable business results Familiarity with influencer marketing and content strategy Exceptional presentation and communication skills Comfortable using project management tools Day rate range: $400-700 / day - 2-3 days a week
