They provide both classroom and practical training. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Ensure compliance with Higher Education & Training and American Heart Association (AHA) standards Design and assess learning materials and interventions Facilitate the learning process, incl. theoretical and clinical facilitation Coordinate and administer student-related processes REQUIRED EDUCATION ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Professional / General Nurse qualification Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education DESIRED EDUCATION Postgraduate Diploma in a Nursing Speciality (e.g. Emergency Nursing, Health Services Management, Adult Crtical Care, Perioperative Nursing) SANC registered as an Assessor and Moderator Master's degree in Nursing REQUIRED EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 5 years’ experience as a Professional / General Nurse 1 year's experience working with higher education and training students DESIRED EXPERIENCE N/A REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Mediclinic Training, Emergency Medical Care and Nursing Policies and Procedures Adult Learning Principles Instructional Design (ADDIE model) and the application thereof Kirk Patrick levels of evaluation Bloom's Taxonomy of assessment and evaluation Nursing and Emergency Medical Care Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Group facilitation tools, techniques and best practices Workplace assessment Demonstrate competence in compilation procedures Understanding of learning and development quality management Mentoring and coaching Training needs analysis, design and evaluation (including curricula development) Education and Training legislation and other relevant healthcare-related legislation and its application within Mediclinic training environment Computer Skills (MS Office suite) Scholarly skills Moderation All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
