This is an On the Job Training position available through Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend. All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined. Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Position Type: Full-Time, Hours not Specified Location: Corpus Christi, Tx Second Chance: No Pay Rate: $22.00 hour Age: 18+ Education: None Recruiter: Liz Martinez T asks: Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Requirements: Five years verifiable diesel mechanic work experience required. Valid Texas driver's license required. Must be familiar with diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of Pro-lank and Genesis machines preferred. Repair and maintain diesel industrial trucks. K Knowledge of air brake suspensions and clutch required. Own tools required. Must be 18+ years old due to state regulations. Job Description: Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors, used in construction, logging, and mining.
