Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work™ ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking a ORION Optic/Laser Alignment Spacecraft Technician, Senior to work 2nd shift at Kennedy Space Center, FL. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform precision laser alignment & laser tracking model functions. Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. Works from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials. May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing. Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 5 years or more of experience. Must have experience with SA Spatial analyzers, FARO Leica laser trackers and tooling. Must have experience with precision laser alignment & laser tracking model functions AFSS brings a 18-year history of delivering high performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies.
