Core Values: Safety: We never compromise on the safety of our employees or structures Teamwork: We can accomplish anything together through communication and diligence Dependability: We want our customers and co-workers to know they can always count on us Quality: We will have the best aluminum structures in the industry Innovation: We will continually think outside of the box and strive to learn new skills PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: • To create precise and detailed shop drawings by accurately interpreting construction documents, drafting comprehensive shop drawings with material schedules, and collaborating with engineering to produce fully engineered shop drawings. ROLE: • To work with Manager and Project Managers to ensure projects are drafted according to schedule. • Develop accurate and detailed shop drawings. • Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and Engineers to ensure successful completion of all projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Interpret and understand construction documents, including architectural, structural, MEP, and specifications related to canopy design and documentation. Work with Project Managers on any information that requires clarification through RFI. • Review sales proposal and startup documents to understand scope of work. • Produce accurate and detailed shop drawings in Revit using the standard template and shop drawing standards. • Produce material schedule with shop drawings to quantify all material required for each project. • Facilitate the engineering process by sending documents to engineers, collaborating on design details and overall project configuration, and incorporating any changes to ultimately produce fully engineered shop drawings. • Collaborate with Sales and Project Managers on any items that affect scope, cost, and/or schedule implications. • Manage project backlog, ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner, and notify Manager in advance of any projects that will not meet their deadline. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in drafting preferred. • Proficiency in Revit preferred. • Solid knowledge of basic drafting skills required. • Ability to read and accurately interpret Construction Documents and Specifications. • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. • Self-motivated with effective communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to work multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines. • A shared appreciation for our 5 core values (Safety, Teamwork, Communication, Quality, Innovation) • Correspondence in English is required to collaborate with team members.
