Outbound Sales Representative

Job description

**Who We Are** We started our company to help others launch and run their own businesses, at any stage. The way we help is by keeping it simple and supporting entrepreneurs one step at a time. Put simply: our mission is to enable anyone to start, run, and grow their business while avoiding the common pitfalls that derail hopeful entrepreneurs. No more having to wade through forms, taxes, or ongoing state compliance. We are a remote company based in Austin, Texas. We have team members from Florida to Oregon and all points in-between. Take pride in your work knowing that it shapes how people all across the country reach their goal of starting, running, and growing their business. If the idea of helping people and working with a genuinely caring, supportive team excites you, then you’ve come to the right place. #### The Role At ZenBusiness, we believe the best salespeople are entrepreneurs at heart, driven by growth, motivated by impact, and hungry to win. If you love the idea of owning your success, being rewarded for your effort, and helping others achieve their dreams along the way, this is the place for you. We help entrepreneurs start, run, and grow their businesses, and our sales team is at the heart of that mission. We’re looking for ambitious, people-focused sales professionals who are excited to control their income through effort and results. If you’re driven by results, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to take ownership of your success, this is the role for you. Our sales team is made up of competitive, motivated professionals who treat their pipeline like their own business- creating opportunity, closing deals, and maximizing every conversation. This is a high-volume, performance-driven sales position where success is earned through consistent effort, adaptability, and resilience. You’ll need to be an active listener who uncovers customer needs, connects them to the right ZenBusiness solutions, and drives every interaction toward value and commitment. This is a remote role reporting to the Director of Outbound Sales, with full-time availability required Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. CST. #### Responsibilities - Own your results: Manage your pipeline like your own business — generating, advancing, and closing opportunities through proactive outreach and effective follow-up. - Drive revenue: Effectively close sales by connecting with current and prospective ZenBusiness customers and recommending tailored solutions that help them start, run, and grow their businesses. - Create opportunity: Make a minimum of 60 outbound calls daily to prospective and existing customers to move deals forward and uncover new opportunities. - Deliver excellence: Provide a consultative, value-based experience in every interaction that builds trust and demonstrates the impact of ZenBusiness products and services. - Be coachable: Implement feedback from coaching sessions and leadership. Consistent improvement through openness to feedback is a must on this team. - Stay compliant and professional: Represent ZenBusiness with integrity and professionalism, following compliance guidelines while providing a best-in-class experience. - Keep systems updated: Maintain accurate, detailed notes in Salesforce and TalkDesk during and after each customer interaction. - Stay sharp: Continuously build your product and industry knowledge to confidently speak to ZenBusiness solutions and the needs of small business owners. - Achieve and exceed goals: Meet and exceed individual sales targets and quarterly team objectives. - Uphold high call quality: Maintain consistency and excellence in every customer conversation. #### Who You Are - You’re driven by results. You love seeing your name at the top of the leaderboard. - You’re resilient. Rejection doesn’t slow you down, it fuels you. - You’re coachable. You seek feedback, apply it, and grow fast. - You’re competitive. You want to be part of a team that challenges and celebrates each other. - You’re people-first. You care about helping customers succeed as much as you care about your own success. #### Why You’ll Love It Here - Uncapped earning potential: Your results determine your rewards. The harder you work, the more you earn. - Culture of growth: You’ll be supported by leaders who invest in your development, with regular coaching and development. - Meaningful impact: You’ll help real people turn their business dreams into reality every single day. - Supportive, winning team: We celebrate each other’s wins, share what works, and push each other to new levels. Iron sharpens iron! - You will be calling current ZenBusiness Customers. This is not a cold calling role where you to self source your own leads. We maintain a ~30% connect rate. Call our new ZB Customers to help get them set up for success for their first year and beyond. **Qualifications** - High School Diploma/GED required. - History and proven experience in effectively prioritizing workload to meet objectives. - Excellent interpersonal communication skills. - Willing to learn, self-motivated, and a great team player. - Be comfortable with change and uncertainty in a fast-paced office environment. - You’ve been a part of a metric-driven environment. **Bonus Qualifications** - MacOS and G-Workspace knowledge is a plus! - Experience with Salesforce or other CRM applications. Compensation is $17.31 an hour + uncapped commission! Our team's average annual compensation is $90k, with our top 20% at ~$150k pacing. We pay bi-weekly, both the hourly rate and the commisions. **Remote Culture.**A great company culture leads to happy employees, and happy employees lead to happy customers. We provide our employees with good salaries, benefits, equity, and interesting challenges that have a positive impact. **Let’s stay connected!** We believe in staying connected, and we have a weekly “All Hands” meeting every week.
