Pathology Services has opened a brand new state-of-the art medical laboratory in Omaha and this is a rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new facility backed by a trusted laboratory with nearly 60 years of laboratory excellence. As part of a growing partnership with Interpath Laboratory, we continue to expand access to advanced technology and testing while keeping our roots, and our dedication to exceptional local service, right here in Nebraska. **Responsibilities**: - Provide diagnostic services across anatomic and clinical pathology, including: - Surgical Pathology - Cytopathology - Frozen sections - Consultations - Lab Directorship - Collaborate with physicians, laboratory professionals, and administrative teams - Participate in laboratory quality programs, peer review, and case consultations - Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of results **Minimum Qualifications** - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) - Completion of residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) - AP/CP board certified or board eligible - Licensure in the state of Nebraska (can be obtained after acceptance of offer) - Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - **Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship** **General Physical Requirements** - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. - The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch. - The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. - Work Environment: Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. **OSHA Category** This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
