Now, you have the opportunity to join us Patient Care Director / Nurse Manager – RN – Psychiatry – Psychotic Disorder & Second Chance – 3S/3N Units In this role, you will provide clinical operations oversight for the medical and psychiatric inpatient unit (11 North), ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. Key Responsibilities Serve as a transformational leader through shared governance, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence Mentor, supervise, and evaluate staff, supporting their growth and development while promoting engagement and retention Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource & fiscal allocation, to ensure optimal units performance Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial accountability and effective utilization of resources Continuously assess unit operations and implement process improvements to enhance patient experience, safety, and outcomes Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and drive a culture of continuous improvement Implements unit's strategic plan relevant to NYPH initiatives, while continuing to develop professional and support staff in establishing an environment where staff and patients are able to reach their full potential Act as a change agent, leading and advancing initiatives that improve quality, performance, and operational excellence across the units Required Criteria At least 3 years of RN experience in Psychiatric Nursing Master’s degree in nursing or related field Bachelor's Degree Nursing; Master's Degree in related field if already holds BSN If currently pursuing a Master's Degree, must obtain within 1 year Current New York State RN license Demonstrated leadership competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills Preferred Criteria Previous leadership and collaborative experience Strong business acumen and communication skills Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement practices American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
