Position Title Perioperative Nurse Liaison (RN)- Education Cardiothoracic Clinic Days - Full Time Bell Hospital Position Summary / Career Interest: The CTS Perioperative Education Nurse facilitates and coordinates preoperative education, testing and evaluation for the Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery cases. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Changes culture to one that is family centered and customer friendly throughout the surgical process. Must collaborate care with clinic CNC, surgeons, NP's or other surgeon representatives, CVPP and CVOR on an ongoing basis. Provides education and instructions for patients and family/support systems prior to scheduled surgical procedures Orders and ensures necessary testing is completed per protocol on scheduled surgical patients. Coordinates visits with Pre Anesthesia Clinic Reviews Pre Op testing and ensures any abnormal result is reviewed by Surgeon or NP, and any necessary intervention is initiated. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned department. Required Education and Experience High School Graduate Associate Degree Nursing Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor Degree Nursing 2 or more years operating room experience Required Licensure and Certification Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse in State of Kansas or State of Missouri Knowledge Requirements Must be prepared to interact with patients/families making a complaint or grievance, and sudden requests for information Time Type: Full time Job Requisition ID: R-55297 Important information for you to know as you apply: The health system is an equal employment opportunity employer.
