Building Name: UVMMC - 75 Holly Court Location Address: 75 Holly Court, Williston Vermont Regular Department: Pharmacy - Home Infusion Per Diem (position has no committed hours and is not benefit eligible) Standard Hours: 0 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: 0 Shift: Day-8Hr Primary Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Weekend Needs: None Salary Range: Min $26.01 Mid $33.51 Max $41.00 Recruiter: Jason Dubuque JOB DESCRIPTION: The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Specialist is responsible for areas of specialty that include: Category 2 CSPs, Technician Training, IV Order Management, Supply Room Maintenance, Controlled Substance and Infusion Pump Tracking and Specialty Infusion Pharmacy areas. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Specialist, in conjunction with the, Outpatient Pharmacy Manager of the designated area, is responsible for their area of specialty which includes training, program development, writing procedures, and continual analysis of current processes. These areas are all critical result areas that frequently involve very expensive items, automated technology and rigid quality control. Interpretation and problem solving skills are frequently used as well as precise manufacturing skills. Accurate record keeping and communication skills are essential EDUCATION: High School / GED plus one year of post high school education or related work experience. Self study or formal Technician Training to become Nationally Certified. Technicians will maintain their Pharmacy Technician Registration/License with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy as well as their National Certification. EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience as a Senior Pharmacy Technician preferred. Sterile Compounding experience preferred. Demonstrated competence in all areas of Pharmacy Technician Trainee, Pharmacy Technician Certified and Senior Pharmacy Technician. NOTE: This role will be focused on Sterile Compounding and Inventory/Equipment Management in the Home Infusion Pharmacy. This is a bargaining union position.
