We are seeking an experienced Planning and Economics Senior Analyst to develop, maintain and analyse complex financial and economic models that support investment appraisal, planning, forecasting and strategic decision-making. The role will provide robust analysis, scenario modelling and clear insights to support commercial, financial and operational decisions, while working closely with Finance, Corporate Finance and key business stakeholders.ReponsabilitiesMaintain and develop the company corporate finance model to perform consolidated analysis of the business, including keeping abreast of changes to PSC or Fiscal terms and reflecting these changes in the model.Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis and stress testing to assess financial viability and key risks.Integrate economic, financial, and operational data into models to provide comprehensive insights.Provide analysis and recommendations to support key commercial decisions, exploration opportunities and M&A activity.Assess material projects for economic viability prior to AFE submission.Support the budgeting and reforecasting process, including maintaining the Group long-term plan and associated scenarios.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support capital allocation decisions.Prepare relevant economic analysis for Field Development Plan submissions, licence term negotiations and annual reserves and resources audits.Support data collection for the annual sustainability report.Work with the wider Finance team to ensure other cash flow and debt funding models are fit-for purpose.Build strong working relationship and cooperation with the subsurface and operations team to ensure capital investments undergo necessary economic assessment.RequirementsRelevant degree or equivalent professional experience, with strong experience in upstream O&G economics, financial modelling and Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs).Experience operating at Senior Analyst level or equivalent is expected.Strong Excel and analytical skills.Ability to distil complex information into simple and easily understandable analytics and reports.Excellent critical thinker.Desire to work and maintain high standards with good attention to detail.Professional attitude.Proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions.
