Portfolio Director, Singapore

Job description

SimplifyNext is a Singapore-headquartered digital engineering firm, with offices in Thailand and Malaysia, working across three converged areas: agentic AI, AI-enabled application modernisation, and intelligent automation. We bring strong business process consulting together with deep technology skills and modern delivery practices – product-centric, agile and AI-assisted. We build bespoke applications and AI systems, and we go deep on the platforms our clients run on, including Microsoft, AWS, ServiceNow, Databricks and UiPath. That combination of engineering depth and platform depth is what our clients come to us for. We build and modernise the systems people depend on daily. Our 300+ practitioners are multi-disciplinary by design – business consultants, software engineers, architects, AI engineers and designers working on the same delivery, not handing off between silos. We focus on delivering outcomes for clients, building strong careers for our people, and staying ahead of the technology curve. We hire because we are growing. **Work you’ll do** As a **Portfolio Director**, you will oversee a portfolio of client accounts and transformation initiatives, ensuring that projects and programs deliver business value and align with both client and SimplifyNext’s strategic objectives. You will provide leadership across delivery, sales, and innovation, while managing senior client stakeholders and guiding internal teams. Beyond execution, you will take responsibility for portfolio-level growth - shaping opportunities, identifying new value streams, and strengthening long-term partnerships. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role that blends **consulting, delivery, and business development**. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: **Portfolio & Client Leadership** - Own and manage a portfolio of client accounts and transformation programs. - Act as the senior point of contact for C-level and executive stakeholders. - Drive portfolio growth by identifying opportunities for account expansion and follow-on engagements. - Ensure client satisfaction by delivering consistently high-value outcomes. **Sales & Business Development** - Partner with Business Development and Sales to qualify, shape, and win new opportunities. - Lead the creation of proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations. - Develop thought leadership and evangelize SimplifyNext’s capabilities in Automation, AI, and Low-Code. **Delivery & Governance** - Oversee multiple project streams within the portfolio, ensuring they deliver on-time, on-budget, and within scope. - Provide strategic oversight and governance, including portfolio risk management, resource allocation, and benefits realization. - Guide senior project managers and solution leads, ensuring alignment with best practices and client expectations. - Establish portfolio-level reporting and communicate performance metrics to leadership and clients. **Practice & People Leadership** - Mentor and coach project managers, consultants, and technical leads. - Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and delivery excellence. - Contribute to shaping SimplifyNext’s Technology practice, bringing in new ideas, frameworks, and methodologies. - Stay ahead of market trends in AI, automation, and digital transformation, and translate them into client-ready strategies. **What You’ll Bring** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields. - **12+ years of experience** in consulting/technology, with at least 5 years in portfolio, program, or client leadership roles. - Proven ability to manage multiple accounts/projects simultaneously and deliver measurable business outcomes. - Strong business development experience, with a track record in winning and growing client accounts. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills - including C-suite engagement. - Strong leadership with the ability to inspire, guide, and grow diverse teams. - Deep knowledge of automation, low-code, and AI technologies, with the ability to position them strategically for clients. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. ### **Why SimplifyNext** | | | | --- | --- | | **One Team, Not Siloed Offerings** | Apps, automation, and AI aren't separate teams here - you'll work across all three as one connected practice, not get boxed into a single lane. | | **AI in Our DNA, Not Bolted On** | Regardless of platform, every specialist here is AI-enabled by design, powered by our own in-house AI workbench that pairs humans and AI from discovery to testing. | | **Future-Proof Your Career** | Tech trends come and go - today's hot platform is tomorrow's afterthought. We multi-skill our people across platforms and AI so your career keeps growing no matter where the market moves. | | **APAC's Biggest AI-Integrated Practice** | Across every platform we work in, our AI-integrated practice is the largest in the region, with work good enough to be cited at Google's own AI event. | | **Grow With Us Across ASEAN** | We're one of Singapore's 100 Fastest Growing Companies, expanding fast across Thailand and Malaysia - plenty of room to grow with us. | At SimplifyNext, we’re committed to building a team of curious, driven, and forward-thinking individuals who care deeply about creating meaningful impact through technology. If you’re excited by the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and shape the future of digital transformation across the region, we’d be happy to hear from you.
