Vous êtes rattaché(e) au Centre des Matériaux de Mines Alès (C2MA) de l'IMT Mines Alès et dans l'unité de recherche : PCH.
Vous mènerez des travaux dans le cadre du projet AMI Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir (CMA) qui porteront sur la sécurité incendie des batteries lithium-ion, avec pour objectif de mieux comprendre les interactions entre un emballement thermique de batterie et les matériaux polymères présents dans son environnement.
Vos principales missions :
Participer à la conception, au développement et à la mise en œuvre d'un banc d'essai expérimental permettant d'étudier les effets de l'emballement thermique de batteries en présence de matériaux polymères
Définir les protocoles expérimentaux, conduire les campagnes d'essais et analyser les résultats afin d'améliorer la compréhension des mécanismes de propagation du feu
Contribuer au développement des enseignements d'IMT Mines Alès dans le domaine de la sécurité incendie des batteries
Participer à la conception et à la mise en place d'un module de formation consacré aux mécanismes d'emballement thermique, aux risques associés, aux méthodes d'essais et aux stratégies de prévention et de protection
Préparer les supports pédagogiques et assurer les enseignements associés
Participer à la valorisation scientifique des travaux réalisés dans le cadre du projet

Niveau de formation et/ou expérience minimums requis :
Doctorat
Compétences, connaissances et expériences requises :
Bonne maîtrise de l'anglais scientifique, à l'écrit comme à l'oral
Capacité à valoriser ses travaux au travers de publications dans des revues scientifiques internationales et de communications lors de conférences nationales et internationales
Bonnes capacités rédactionnelles

You will be affiliated with the Mines Alès Materials Centre (C2MA) at IMT Mines Alès and the PCH research unit.
You will carry out work as part of the AMI ‘Skills and Professions of the Future’ (CMA) project, focusing on the fire safety of lithium-ion batteries, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the interactions between battery thermal runaway and the polymer materials present in its environment.
Your main responsibilities:
To participate in the design, development and implementation of an experimental test bench to study the effects of battery thermal runaway in the presence of polymeric materials
To define experimental protocols, conduct test campaigns and analyse the results in order to improve understanding of fire propagation mechanisms
Contribute to the development of IMT Mines Alès’s teaching programme in the field of battery fire safety
Participate in the design and implementation of a training module dedicated to thermal runaway mechanisms, associated risks, test methods, and prevention and protection strategies
Prepare teaching materials and deliver the associated courses
Contribute to the scientific dissemination of the work carried out as part of the project

Good command of scientific English, both written and spoken
Ability to showcase one’s work through publications in international scientific journals and presentations at national and international conferences
