Post Office Assistant - Part-Time LONDIS Balla is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Post Office Assistant to join our team. Working in a fast-paced retail post office environment, the successful candidate will assist customers with a range of postal, financial, and retail services while ensuring an efficient and positive customer experience. Location: LONDIS, Main Street, Balla, Co. Mayo Hours: Typically 25 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and holiday cover Rate of Pay: Starting from €14.65 per hour Greet customers, answer questions about postal rates, and recommend suitable mail and shipping options Process letters, parcels, stamp sales, bill payments, banking services, and social welfare collections Operate the till and process cash and card payments accurately and securely Balance the cash register and complete end-of-shift reconciliation procedures Maintain stock levels and ensure the post office area is clean, organised, and well-presented Complete basic administrative tasks and required paperwork Handle confidential customer information in line with company procedures and data protection requirements Follow all company policies and health and safety guidelines Support the wider store team as required Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, approachable, and professional manner Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling cash and confidential information Basic computer and keyboard skills for operating post office and retail systems Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience in retail, banking, customer service, or cash handling is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and provide holiday cover
