Job description
Your mission As ANAVIA continues its rapid growth, we are seeking a skilled Powerplant and Electrical Technician who is eager to contribute to the future of unmanned aviation and take on the following key responsibilities: Engine & Powerplant Maintenance Remove, install, and replace engine components and assemblies following approved procedures. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engine ancillary equipment including fuel systems, ignition systems, oil systems, and cooling systems. Conduct engine ground runs and operational tests to verify proper function. Maintain and repair engine mounts, cowlings, exhaust systems, and air induction systems. Monitor engine parameters and diagnose mechanical and performance issues. Handle fuel system maintenance includes pumps, filters, lines, and tanks. Electrical Systems Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair aircraft electrical systems including power generation, distribution, batteries, and wiring. Test electrical components and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and multimeters. Assemble and install electrical components using hand tools and soldering equipment. Perform system functional tests. Repair or replace defective electrical wiring, connectors, and electronic components. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and aircraft records in compliance with aviation regulations. Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA airworthiness directives and service bulletins. Safety & Quality Assurance Follow all aviation safety procedures, regulations, and best practices. Conduct pre-flight and post-maintenance inspections. Identify and report safety hazards or airworthiness discrepancies. Ensure all work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your profile Education: Technical diploma in aircraft maintenance, electrical systems, or mechanical related field. Avionics training or certification or engine-specific training certifications a plus. EASA Part-66 license a plus. Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, with practical experience working on engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Experience with turbine or piston aircraft engines is required. Previous experience with aircraft electrical troubleshooting, powerplant systems, and avionics is highly desirable. Experience with helicopters, rotorcraft, or turboshaft engines is a strong advantage. Skills: Working knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, power generation, and distribution. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Solid mechanical aptitude with expertise in engine systems and fuel systems. Proficient use of electrical test equipment. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, precision measuring instruments. Familiar with aircraft maintenance and technical documentation. Safety & Regulatory Awareness: Strong commitment to aviation safety, quality, and compliance , with a systematic and methodical approach to troubleshooting and maintenance. Good understanding of safe working practices, particularly when working with fuel systems, engines, electrical systems, and rotating equipment . Familiarity with applicable aviation regulations and maintenance standards is an advantage. Hands-on & Physical Requirements: Comfortable performing practical maintenance work in an aircraft and workshop environment, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in confined or awkward positions for extended periods. Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision work and handling small components. Sufficient visual acuity to inspect components, read technical documentation, and identify defects, as well as the ability to recognize abnormal sounds or conditions during engine runs and equipment operation. Communication: Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders . Able to work independently with limited supervision while taking ownership of assigned tasks. Self-motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic engineering environment. Languages: Proficiency in English. German desirable.
