Job description
We are seeking a dedicated PRN Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team in Hawley, MN. As an integral part of our dental team, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health through direct patient care and education. ### Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. - Assess and document patient conditions, collaborating with the dental team for optimal treatment plans. - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Open Dental and other dental software. - Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment. - Travel as needed to support community sites, which may include driving a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary. ### Requirements: - Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene. - Active Minnesota Dental Hygienist License. - 2-4 years of clinical experience preferred. - Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. - Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification. - Effective oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency preferred based on clinic location). - Ability to work under a signed Collaborative Agreement following state and company regulations. - Proficiency or willingness to learn Open Dental software, Microsoft Office, and other necessary systems. - Valid driver’s license (based on clinic location) and willingness to travel as needed. ### Why Join Us? - Flexible schedule – choose the shifts that fit your availability. - Competitive compensation of. - Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient education and preventive care. - Work with a supportive team dedicated to high-quality dental services.
