Product Analyst

Job description

# **🚀** Why Headout? ### We’re a rocketship: 9-figure revenue, record growth, and profitable With $200M+ in revenue, guests in 700+ cities, and 18 months of profitability, Headout is the fastest-growing marketplace in the travel industry, and we’re just getting started. We've raised $60M+ from top-tier investors and are building a durable company for the long term — because that's what our mission needs and deserves. We’re growing, profitable and nowhere near done. ### What we do is important In an increasingly digital world, there is a desperate need to augment our human experience by getting us to interact with the real world around us and the people in it. At Headout, our mission is to be the easiest, fastest, and most delightful way to head out to a real-life experience — from immersive tours to museums to live events and everything in between. ### Why now? The foundation is strong. The opportunity ahead is even bigger. We’ve hit profitability, built momentum, and proven the model — but there’s so much more to build. If you’re looking to join a company where the trajectory is steep and your impact is real, this is the moment. ### Our culture Reinventing the travel industry isn't easy, but that's the fun part. We care deeply about ownership, craft, and impact, and we’re here to do the best work of our careers. We won’t pretend like it’s for everyone but if you’re a builder who loves solving tough problems, you’ll feel right at home. # **👩‍💻 The role** We're looking for a sharp, hungry analyst to join the data team at Headout. This is a foundational role, you'll work closely with senior analysts and leadership to build the reports, dashboards, and automations that power decisions across the company. Depending on where the need is greatest and where your strengths lie, you could find yourself working on growth and marketing analytics, product analytics, operations and supply-side problems, or a mix of all three. The common thread: you'll be embedded in the business, working on problems that matter. This isn't about crunching numbers in a corner. You'll understand how our marketplace works, why metrics move, and what levers actually drive outcomes. You'll ship real work within your first week, and own meaningful workstreams within your first few months. If you're someone who gets restless when you're not learning, who'd rather figure things out than wait for instructions, and who cares about craft, this is for you. # **🤩 What makes this role special?** - **Real problems, not busywork**: Headout is a global marketplace operating across dozens of cities, thousands of experiences, multiple currencies, real-time inventory, and dynamic pricing. Whether you're analyzing conversion funnels, attribution models, supplier economics, or product experiments, the problems here are genuinely hard. - **Breadth of exposure**: You won't be siloed into one corner of the business. You'll see how growth, product, operations, and finance interconnect and build the analytical muscle to work across all of them. - **Learn fast by doing**: You'll pair with senior analysts on complex projects, get direct feedback from leadership, and see your work influence actual decisions. The feedback loops are tight, and the growth curve is steep. - **A team that gives a damn**: We care about speed and pragmatism over perfection, but we don't ship sloppy work. Feedback is direct and frequent. We document what we learn. We help each other get better. - **A product you can care about**: Headout helps people experience the best of every city they visit. There's something satisfying about working on a product where the output is someone having a great day somewhere new. # **💝 What skills & experience do you need?** - 1 - 3 years in an analytics, BI, or data science role - Strong SQL skills, you can write complex joins, window functions, CTEs without hand-holding. You know how to debug a slow query. - Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, automation, or simple analysis - Hands-on experience with at least one BI tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI) - Nice to have: exposure to dbt, Airflow, or similar; basic understanding of data warehousing concepts - Bonus: exposure to marketplace/e-commerce, consumer tech --- ## EEO statement At Headout, we don’t just accept differences — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our partners, and the community at large. Headout provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age or disability.
