Product Director

Job description

Charging your car should feel as natural as charging your phone. That's the future we're building: a network of EV chargers where life happens. We don't just install chargers. We accelerate sustainable mobility. We obsess over partnerships. We grow relentlessly: our network, our partners, ourselves. If you're here, you're probably not looking for "just a job." Neither are we. We're driven by impact, and always looking for people who thrive on turning bold ideas into reality. If that sounds like you, you'll feel at home here. We're looking for people who see challenges as puzzles, not problems, thrive in fast-growing, high-energy environments, and want to shape the future of mobility, not just watch it unfold. At Powerdot, you'll get freedom, ownership, and responsibility. The space to experiment. The chance to scale your ideas. And a team that's always pushing the edge of what's possible. **Don't stop reading, the best part's coming up 👇🏼** - Role we’re looking for: Product Director - Languages: Fluent English - Location: Portugal - Seniority: 10+ years of relevant product experience, including leadership of Product Managers across multiple teams - Your manager: @ Afonso Ramos **Why This Role, Why Now?** Powerdot’s product surface spans physical infrastructure, software platforms, customer experiences and internal tools. We are looking for a product leader who can bring these parts together, raise the quality of product decision-making and help teams prove the impact of what they build. **How You’ll Shape Our Story** - Lead the Product organisation end to end, including product strategy, roadmap, operating model and people development. - Set priorities and make clear trade-offs across multiple product areas and cross-functional teams. - Raise the product craft bar across discovery, problem definition, specifications, delivery, measurement and post-launch learning. - Build a strong management and coaching system for Product Managers and Product Designers at different stages of their careers. - Ensure every meaningful launch has a clear definition of success and a rigorous readout. - Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Operations and commercial teams to connect customer needs with business outcomes. - Create an environment where teams move with ownership while staying aligned on company priorities. **What Makes You a Great Fit** - You have managed Product Managers (not only products) across several teams or product areas. - You are currently operating at Head of Product or Director level in a scale-up or similarly fast-moving environment. - You have experience where physical assets meet a software platform, such as mobility, logistics, energy, rental or shared transport. - You understand B2B products and internal tooling as well as customer-facing experiences. - You are highly fluent in prioritisation and can make difficult roadmap trade-offs with limited resources. - You set a high standard for measurement and use evidence to improve both products and product practice. - You are an experienced people leader who can coach senior practitioners and build an effective organisation. **Also Valuable:** - Marketplace or two-sided product experience. - Experience taking a product organisation from ad hoc ways of working to a clear, scalable operating model. **The Kind of Energy We're Looking For:** - We're not into titles, egos, or corporate buzzwords. We're into people who make things happen. - You lead and listen. Whether you're steering the ship or rowing alongside the crew, you bring others with you and keep communication wide open. - You own your stuff. You don't wait for instructions: you see an opportunity, grab it, and make it better than anyone expected. - You've got a green heartbeat. Sustainability isn't just cool, it's core. You care about doing work that leaves the world a little better than you found it. - You balance hustle with humanity. You love the buzz of in-person teamwork, but you also know when to recharge (pun totally intended 🔋). - You grow on purpose. You're hungry to learn, to stretch, and to build something meaningful, not just rack up LinkedIn bullet points. **How you'll be Powered up?** - 🏥 Private health insurance coverage - 💪🏼 Gym membership to help you stay active - ⏰ Flexible working hours: you own your time - 🌍 Annual offsite where we celebrate the year's achievements and spend quality time together (last year we went to the Algarve, Portugal!) - 🤝🏼 Regular team-building events with your local teammates - 📚 English Training as English is our language used to connect with all markets and teams - 🍩 Free office snacks and unlimited coffee & Meal allowance for every worked day - ⚡️ Special discounts for charging your electric vehicle **Our Promise To You** The best solutions come from different voices. We're building a culture where inclusion, respect, and equal opportunity aren't policies, they're lived every day. At Powerdot, everyone has the space to speak up, challenge the status quo, and make a difference. At Powerdot, your voice powers the future, literally.
