Product Engineer

Job description

We’re looking for a passionate Product Engineer to join our team at STRATOS – someone excited to sit at the intersection of product thinking, data engineering, and applied AI. Your work will enable STRATOS to support a wide variety of enterprise applications of the platform with marginal effort, turning insight into durable product leverage. In a world where competitive advantage is created by adaptable platforms rather than bespoke solutions, you’ll help shape the foundations that allow STRATOS to scale across industries, geographies, and operating models About Us At STRATOS Technologies, we are transforming how companies make data-driven decisions with our innovative Strategy Operating System. Our software integrates complex datasets into a unified solution, enabling businesses to strengthen their long-term strategies through clear and actionable insights. Our founders, former business and tech executives who led a $1B division at a Fortune 500 industrial company, originally built a digital twin of their enterprise to drive synchronized planning and execution. Seeing the market’s lack of such a system, they launched STRATOS in 2022 with a bold mission: to build the world’s first strategy operating system that unifies all internal and external data into a single platform. Today, STRATOS is a category-defining, rapidly growing startup funded extensively by high-profile investors (e.g., Accel) and trusted by nearly a dozen global industrial leaders and Fortune 500 customers. Our software integrates complex datasets into a unified solution, combining deep data integration, best-in-class workflows, and cutting-edge generative AI. From commercial AI agents to embedded intelligence that supercharges lean teams, STRATOS enables businesses to achieve 10x productivity and strengthen long-term strategies through actionable insights. We are now expanding our team to accelerate our growth even further and help our customers outperform their competition. Why Product Engineering at STRATOS As STRATOS scales, our success depends on transforming learnings from custom product adaptions done in the field into our core, configurable platform functionality. Product Engineering at STRATOS is about: Generalizing from real-world complexity Designing abstractions that hold across diverse business contexts Building flexible systems that adapt without fragmenting whilst managing complexity You’ll collaborate closely with Forward Deployed Engineers, product leaders, and customers to identify their common core functionality; and then develop configurable products that enable those diverse use cases within a single code base. This enables the STRATOS platform to be deployed repeatedly, reliably, and at scale. Tasks The main responsibilities of this role include: Understand new and emerging customer use cases by collaborating with Forward Deployed Engineers, product managers, and end users Translate those use cases into configurable, reusable platform functionality that can be deployed across multiple customers, built in Palantir Foundry as deployable templates. Design and build scalable data models, workflows, and abstractions that support a high degree of variation without custom code Develop and extend generative AI workflows and system capabilities (e.g. using platforms like Palantir AIP) as part of the core product Build and maintain robust data integration capabilities using PySpark and other distributed technologies Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform coherence, maintainability, and extensibility Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the evolution of the STRATOS platform Requirements 2–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or product-focused engineering roles Experience working on platforms or products , not just one-off implementations The ability to translate complex, ambiguous business problems into clean, extensible technical solutions Strong fundamentals in Python, PySpark, and SQL Comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments where requirements evolve quickly and can be unclear Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience with Palantir Foundry, or experience with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, DBT and Airflow. Comfortable working with Typescript Knowledge of API design and backend product development Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle) or CRM platforms Exposure to generative AI systems, orchestration frameworks, or AI-enabled workflows Benefits Become part of a category-defining startup which transforms how industrial companies operate and compete Close collaboration with an elite, interdisciplinary team of seasoned tech and business leaders Close mentorship from experienced engineers and operators A steep but rewarding learning curve that is designed to challenge you and help you grow A highly competitive compensation package Attractive Stock options program, allowing you to share in the long-term success and growth of the company Flexible hybrid and local work options, with the option for visa sponsorship A dynamic, barista-equipped office in the heart of London, designed to foster creativity and collaboration A company committed to social and environmental responsibility—we pledge to be a net-zero CO₂ company and donate 1% of our revenue to social causes
