Product Manager, Ops Tooling

Job description

**Powering Great Work** We started as the place to find a trusted trade. Now, as we shape the future of home improvement, we're building the tech to transform that landscape for everyone - better products, smarter data, AI where it actually helps - so trades can spend less time on admin and consumers can find someone they trust, first time. That's Powering Great Work, and it's why every team here exists: 🔧 Trades spend less time on admin and more on winning work and growing their business 🏠 Homeowners get a trusted trade, first time, every time 🚀 We get to build products that change homes and lives across the country As our Product Manager, Ops Tooling, you'll own the vision and strategy for the tools, platforms and workflows that power our Sales and Operations teams. It's not just about making internal tools better. You'll look at how work really gets done and find where AI, automation and technology can simplify it, strip out manual work and let our teams operate differently. You'll work closely with our Product Delivery Manager and Engineering Manager to balance what the business relies on today with what we'll need tomorrow. **The job, unfiltered:** - Set the vision and product strategy for Ops Tooling, in line with our wider Sales, Operations and customer strategy. - Get close to our teams and use data and colleague insight to find the biggest opportunities to improve how they work. - Reimagine workflows end to end, finding the right mix of people, process and technology rather than assuming the answer is polishing the tools we already have. - Make AI and automation core to how we operate, spotting where work can be automated, augmented or redesigned as new capabilities arrive. - Lead significant product bets from discovery and validation through to delivery, launch and measuring impact. - Prioritise on business impact, balancing conversion, productivity, quality, customer experience and cost to serve. - Align senior stakeholders on the problems we're solving, where we're investing and the trade-offs we're making. **The fit:** - Strong product management experience, with a track record of setting product direction and leading significant initiatives end to end. - A practical understanding of AI and automation, and experience delivering use cases that change workflows, improve decisions or cut manual work. - Sharp product judgement and discovery skills. You can turn ambiguous business problems into clear opportunities and priorities. - Experience simplifying complex workflows across people, process and technology. - Commercial and analytical thinking that connects product decisions to measurable business and customer outcomes. - Confidence with senior stakeholders, and the ability to challenge established thinking constructively. - A strong partnership with Engineering, with enough technical depth to know what's possible with AI, automation, integrations and modern product tech. *(Don't self-select out because you don't tick every box. We'd rather meet you.)* **What you get** 💰 Competitive salary, annual bonus & equity scheme 🩺 Health, wellbeing and learning support 🚲 Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme, Cycle Scheme 🎂 Birthday/special day leave, buy & sell holiday scheme ❤️ 1 week's paid charity leave, and more **How this goes** - Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners - Interview with the hiring manager and members of the team - Final stage with a senior stakeholder At the moment, this role isn’t open to visa sponsorship applications.
