Job description
PRODUCTION FOREMAN Run the floor that turns drawings into finished millwork. McKenzie Craft fabricates custom millwork out of our 25,000 sq ft shop in Miami. We are looking for a Production Foreman to lead the shop floor — assigning labor, holding the quality bar, and keeping work moving against the schedule. Expect to split your time, roughly half in the office on timesheets, work order review, and planning, and the rest on the floor with your team. What you will do Lead and supervise shop floor employees through daily production Assign work and allocate labor against the production schedule Train, direct, and give performance feedback to your team Review production packets at turnover, confirm planned hours and milestone dates, and prepare work order summaries Read shop drawings and verify fabrication matches specification Run milestone, spot, and final QC checks, and photo document completed work Update the Labor Kanban through the shift to reflect real progress Identify bottlenecks and delays early and correct course Assign pack, wrap, pallet, and labeling tasks and keep finished goods moving through staging Enforce PPE requirements and safe work practices, and correct unsafe conditions on the spot Oversee tool and equipment maintenance and flag issues to management Submit timesheets at the end of every shift What you bring Five or more years in millwork, carpentry, or related fabrication leadership Strong command of custom architectural millwork, tools, and shop operations Fluent blueprint and shop drawing reading Proven team supervision experience Ability to hold multiple priorities in a working shop Willingness to stand and walk the floor, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear full PPE Bilingual English and Spanish preferred Salaried, exempt. Reports to the Plant Manager.
