**Join a team improving how professionals experience and engage with our regulatory processes.** Join a team contributing to a significant programme of work to improve registrants' experience of our regulatory processes. You'll work with colleagues across the organisation to strengthen practice, helping ensure professionals can participate effectively in processes affecting them. Our Professional Support and Engagement Team works closely with safeguarding, wellbeing and other colleagues, strengthening how we identify and respond to factors that may affect nursing and midwifery professionals' involvement in our processes. A key priority is developing support, guidance and resources for unrepresented registrants, initially focusing on cases that have progressed to a Fitness to Practise Committee. While the role is primarily focused on improving experience and building colleagues' capability, some cases require direct engagement with registrants to help them understand proceedings, access support and engage fully. Through this work, the team promotes a values-based and needs-led approach to regulation, grounded in collaboration, sound judgement and practical problem solving. This is a role where you can make a meaningful difference. You'll help colleagues identify and respond to barriers to engagement, advise on complex situations and contribute to improvements that enhance the experience of professionals while maintaining confidence in regulation. You'll also help shape guidance, training and learning that strengthens our approach. **Your role & impact** We welcome applications from people with a range of professional backgrounds who are passionate about helping others navigate complex, formal or challenging processes. You may have experience in professional regulation, health and social care, advocacy, various judicial processes, ombudsman services, safeguarding, or similar roles where you've supported people through challenging situations while helping to improve practice. We are looking for individuals who can: - Provide guidance in cases involving additional vulnerabilities, complex needs or unrepresented registrants. - Work directly with registrants where additional assistance is needed to support meaningful engagement. - Advise colleagues on identifying barriers to participation and developing practical, inclusive approaches to engagement. - Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote inclusive, values-based approaches to regulation. - Share learning and insights that contribute to continuous improvement.
