**About Bridgewater**  Bridgewater Associates is a premier asset management firm, focused on delivering unique insight and partnership for the most sophisticated global institutional investors.  Our investment process is driven by a tireless pursuit to understand how the world’s markets and economies work — using cutting-edge technology to validate and execute on timeless and universal investment principles.  Founded in 1975, we are a community of independent thinkers who share a commitment to excellence. By fostering a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion, we strive to unlock the most complex questions in investment strategy, management, and corporate culture.  Explore more information about Bridgewater on our website [here](https://www.bridgewater.com/).  **Our Culture**  Our culture is anchored in excellence, meaning constant improvement, and it is deeply tied to our mission. Because markets are objective, competitive, and getting smarter everyday, we need to keep rapidly improving to have any chance of beating them. Truth is our most essential tool for engaging with the markets and constantly improving because once you know what's true about your problems and opportunities, you can determine how to get better. Valuing truth means being transparent about your decision-making and mistakes, giving and receiving feedback with humility, and fighting for the best answers over hierarchy, ego, or self-interest. Operating this way is hard – it's only possible because we build meaning in our work and relationships. This meaning comes from the audacity of the mission, and the joy of working alongside people who make you a better version of yourself. The culture, like Bridgewater itself, is always evolving. In 1997 our founder Ray Dalio wrote down his lessons, starting with a [Philosophy Statement](https://www.bridgewater.com/culture/bridgewaters-original-philosophy) which remains our foundation. This later evolved into a set of 300+ Principles. In 2022, when Ray transitioned the company, we re-underwrote several of those principles and evolved others, with a specific focus on [Meritocracy.](https://www.bridgewater.com/culture/bridgewaters-idea-meritocracy) Today the culture sits, alongside our people, as our most important edge. When we get it right, it’s the engine that powers everything else. The driving force behind this mission is our Strategist Ecosystem, the distributed leadership model through which we define what needs to happen at every level of our org such that we are engaging the right clients on the right priorities with the right people and the right content and ensuring quality holds throughout. This role is the dedicated owner of the Strategist Ecosystem and will design and run the machines behind each functional area and act as the connective tissue across them. The Strat ecosystem is a net new design for our team, and this role is critical to operationalizing it successfully. You'll report to the management partner of the AE Strat Group, who will be your primary point of triangulation and sign-off on design, and you will partner directly with each Strategist in running their individual functional areas. Beyond the Strategists, you'll work closely with Analysts, Strategist Coordinators, Client Service, and Research teams where the ecosystem intersects with them. You will drive the following responsibilities: - Operational design: You will collaborate directly with the manager and the Strategists to internalize the goals of each area, design a machine to deliver them, evolve it through time, and establish connections between them. - Functional ownership: You will be a trusted voice on the state of our ecosystem and its component parts, meaningfully guide the overall direction and priorities, maintain a precise synthesis on how things are going, and surface/address issues before they become problems. - Operational Execution: You will own the full cadence of recurring mechanisms across the ecosystem — annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and ad hoc — keeping the team on track and working fluidly and working through blockers/problems that may be getting in the way. - Ecosystem Status & Reporting: You will maintain a standing view of how the ecosystem is running – health of each area, overall priorities and problems, status of key mechanisms, upcoming milestones – and bubble up that synthesis to the manager and more broadly to the Strat group. You will be a click for the role if: - You think in systems, not just instances. You get satisfaction out of designing structure and repeatable process and want to build the muscle to do so in a highly complex, fast-moving space. - You are high ownership. When you see a gap nobody else is covering, you close it rather than waiting to be asked, and you reliably deliver without reminders or being chased. - You sustain pace across many things at once. This ecosystem has several functional areas moving on different cadences simultaneously, and you hold quality and precision across all of them at all times. - You are comfortable and energized operating within ambiguity. This role has no established playbook to lean on, so you're someone who raises your hand to ask questions, goes and gets what you need rather than waiting for it to be handed to you, and is comfortable raising perceptions and ideas before you’re confident they’re right. - You build influence through the quality of your judgment and your follow-through, strengthening your credibility and efficacy through time. - You're curious about Bridgewater's core business and how this group engages clients and prospects and communicates our views. Interested in learning more about working at Bridgewater? Hear about the experiences of our employees [here](https://www.bridgewater.com/working-at-bridgewater/the-bridgewater-experience). Minimum Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience in a role that required you to design operational processes from scratch, manage projects or programs, own and run business operations, or a comparable function, ideally in a fast-moving or ambiguous environment. - A track record of managing multiple concurrent workstreams without letting any one of them slip in quality. - Experience partnering with senior stakeholders where your credibility, not your formal authority, was what got things done. - Strong written and verbal communication; a meaningful part of this role is translating what's happening across the ecosystem such that others can act on it. In addition, to succeed within our unique culture and work environment, individuals must demonstrate humility, innate curiosity, and openness to new ideas and approaches. Candidates must be driven, confident, and goal-oriented. All Bridgewater employees are expected to be honest, exceptionally direct, and eager to provide and receive objective feedback. Our employees constantly strive for self-improvement through feedback and self-reflection and are committed to the pursuit of excellence. Physical Requirements:  The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our New York City campus. **Why Choose Bridgewater?**  It takes all types to make Bridgewater great. We seek a diverse group of innovative thinkers and push them to engage in rigorous and thoughtful inquiry. We develop people through an honest examination of their abilities and performance, enabling personal growth and professional development. We strive to provide you with opportunities that will challenge you and unlock your potential.  Compensation Band: The wage range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70% - 80% of this wage range.  One of our core priorities at Bridgewater is to enable our employees to build a great life and career, and we believe our benefits are an important extension of that philosophy.
