Vast is developing next-generation **space stations and space infrastructure** using an incremental, hardware-rich, and low-cost approach. Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches in 2027, followed by additional Haven modules. Additionally, the company recently announced **Vast Satellite**, a high-power satellite product line leveraging its space station components and the heritage of Haven Demo. Headquartered in **Long Beach, California**, and with more than 1,000 employees and over a billion dollars in private capital, Vast has built the facilities required to manufacture and operate America’s next space station. The company plans to develop future habitats and systems for the Moon and Mars, dedicated space stations for government partners, and other crewed systems that will unlock the expanding long-term space economy. Vast recherche **un(e) Chef de projet – Partenariats industriels et Stratégiques**, rattaché(e) au Directeur des Politiques Publiques et des Relations Gouvernementales. Le/la titulaire du poste aura pour mission d’identifier, de développer et de mettre en place des partenariats industriels européens, ainsi que d’assurer le pilotage de projets et de travaux de recherche liés aux activités de Vast en matière de vols spatiaux habités et de satellites en Europe. Il/elle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les équipes américaines de développement commercial. L’un des principaux objectifs de ce poste sera de développer la dimension industrielle européenne de l’offre de Vast : identifier les fournisseurs et partenaires européens dont les capacités répondent aux besoins de l’entreprise, et structurer des partenariats soutenant les considérations de retour géographique et industriel associées aux opportunités institutionnelles, aux attributions de sièges et aux besoins d’approvisionnement plus larges de Vast, à court comme à long terme. Vast Europe est une structure agile à taille humaine, et ce poste est volontairement polyvalent. Le/la titulaire contribuera aux travaux de recherche, au développement de partenariats, à la préparation de propositions, à l’organisation d’événements et à la coordination de projets, en appui aux deux directeurs. Cette polyvalence constitue un élément central du poste. Si vous souhaitez participer concrètement au développement des vols spatiaux habités commerciaux, en collaboration avec les agences, les gouvernements et l’industrie, et que vous êtes à l’aise dans la gestion simultanée de plusieurs projets, ce poste est fait pour vous. Il s’agit d’un poste à temps plein, en CDI, basé dans notre bureau de Paris, siège européen de Vast. Rémunération selon profil et expérience. **Principales responsabilités** - Développer et maintenir une vision structurée de l’écosystème industriel européen pertinent pour Vast : fournisseurs, capacités, expertises nationales, pôles de compétences et partenaires potentiels dans les États membres. - Identifier, développer et contribuer à structurer des opportunités de partenariats industriels européens renforçant l’offre de Vast auprès des agences et clients gouvernementaux, notamment au travers d’arguments liés au retour géographique et industriel dans le cadre des campagnes d’attribution de sièges. - Mener des analyses approfondies du secteur spatial commercial européen, incluant les concurrents, programmes institutionnels, cycles de financement, évolutions réglementaires et dynamiques de marché, afin d’identifier les opportunités et les risques. - Préparer des notes de recherche ciblées, études de marché et documents de référence en amont des réunions clients, des propositions et des négociations. - Gérer la préparation des propositions, offres et réponses aux appels d’offres institutionnels, incluant la recherche, la rédaction et la coordination des contributions des équipes du siège de Vast et des partenaires européens. - Gérer les données CRM, les rapports de pipeline et les outils de suivi internes pour l’équipe européenne, et mettre en place des processus réguliers de reporting. - Piloter la planification et l’exécution de la présence de Vast lors de conférences européennes, journées sectorielles et événements clients. - Assurer la gestion de projets liés aux vols spatiaux habités et aux activités satellitaires, en appui aux deux directeurs et selon les priorités définies. - Assurer, selon les délégations reçues, l’intérim des directeurs sur les sujets liés aux partenariats industriels et à la recherche, et contribuer à l’intégration ainsi qu’au développement des membres juniors de l’équipe. **Profil du candidat** - Professionnel(le) confirmé(e), curieux(se), rigoureux(se) et organisé(e), disposant d’une solide connaissance du secteur spatial européen, d’excellentes compétences en recherche et en rédaction, ainsi que d’une capacité avérée à conduire des analyses de manière autonome. - Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) est motivé(e) par un large éventail de responsabilités, sait gérer des projets de bout en bout avec un niveau limité de supervision, et s’épanouit dans un environnement agile, autonome et parfois imprévisible, propre à une petite structure européenne adossée à un siège américain dynamique. **Compétences et expérience requises** - Diplôme de niveau licence ou supérieur en ingénierie, sciences, commerce, affaires internationales ou discipline connexe. - 5 à 7 ans d’expérience minimum dans le secteur spatial, le développement commercial, les partenariats industriels, les achats, ou des fonctions liées à la recherche et à l’intelligence de marché. - Expérience directe avec des fournisseurs industriels européens, maîtres d’œuvre et/ou acteurs institutionnels. - Expérience avérée en tant qu’interface principale entre une entreprise ou un programme et un client externe, tant sur les aspects techniques que managériaux. - Solides compétences organisationnelles, avec une bonne maîtrise des tableurs et outils de présentation pour l’analyse, le suivi et la production de rapports. - Excellentes compétences en gestion des parties prenantes et en communication. - Maîtrise professionnelle de l’anglais requise. La maîtrise du français constitue un atout majeur ; la connaissance d’autres langues européennes est appréciée. - Excellentes compétences rédactionnelles en anglais, notamment pour la rédaction de notes de synthèse, de résumés exécutifs et de propositions. - Autorisation légale de travailler en France requise. **Compétences et expérience souhaitées** - Diplôme de niveau master ou équivalent en ingénierie, sciences, commerce, affaires internationales ou discipline connexe. - Bonne connaissance du paysage institutionnel spatial européen, notamment de la politique industrielle de l’ESA et des mécanismes de retour géographique. - Expérience avec un logiciel CRM ( Salesforce ou outil similaire) ainsi qu’avec des outils de recherche, de veille ou de constitution de listes de prospects/partenaires. **Exigences supplémentaires** - Disponibilité pour des déplacements professionnels fréquents, jusqu’à 50 % du temps, principalement en Europe et ponctuellement au siège de Vast à Long Beach, dans le respect des règles applicables relatives au temps de travail et aux temps de repos. - Capacité à participer ponctuellement à des réunions en dehors des horaires habituels, afin de tenir compte des fuseaux horaires ou de soutenir des étapes critiques des missions, dans le respect de la législation applicable. --- Vast is looking for a **Project Manager, European Industrial Partnerships** to to lead the identification, development, and establishment of European industrial partnerships, and to provide programmatic and research leadership across Vast’s European human spaceflight and satellite activities. The Project Manager will report to the Director, Policy and Government Relations, and work in full coordination with the dedicated USA business development teams. A central focus of this role is building the European industrial dimension of Vast’s offering: identifying European suppliers and partners whose capabilities align with Vast’s needs, and structuring partnerships that support geographical and industrial return considerations linked to flight seat opportunities and Vast’s broader procurement interests, in both the short and longer term. Vast Europe is a small, nimble office, and this role is intentionally broad. You will work across research, partnerships, proposals, events, and project coordination, supporting both Directors. We consider this breadth a feature of the role. If you want a direct hand in how commercial human spaceflight deals with agencies, governments, and industry actually get built, and you are comfortable wearing multiple hats, this role is designed for you. **Key Responsibilities** - Own and maintain a structured view of the European industrial landscape relevant to Vast: suppliers, capabilities, national strengths, and potential partners across member states. - Identify, develop, and help structure European industrial partnership opportunities that strengthen Vast’s offering to agency and government customers, including geographical and industrial return narratives supporting flight seat campaigns. - Conduct in-depth research on the European commercial space sector, including competitors, institutional programs, funding cycles, and regulatory developments, to identify opportunities and risks. - Prepare tailored research briefs, market intelligence, and background materials ahead of customer meetings, proposals, and negotiations. - Manage the preparation of proposals, offers, and responses to institutional tenders, including research, drafting, and coordination of inputs from Vast HQ teams and European partners. - Own CRM records, pipeline reporting, and internal tracking tools for the European team, and establish regular reporting processes. - Lead the planning and execution of Vast’s presence at European conferences, industry days, and customer events. - Provide project management across human spaceflight and satellite workstreams in support of both Directors, as priorities require. - Deputize for the Directors on industrial partnership and research matters as delegated, and support the onboarding and development of junior team members. **Candidate Profile** A curious, organized mid-career professional with substantive experience in the European space sector, strong research and writing skills, and the initiative to run down open questions independently. The ideal candidate is energized rather than intimidated by a broad remit, is comfortable owning workstreams end to end with limited supervision, and thrives with the autonomy and ambiguity of a small office backed by a fast-moving US headquarters. **Required Qualifications & Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, international affairs, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the space industry, business development, industrial partnerships, procurement, or research and market intelligence roles. - Direct experience working with European industrial suppliers, primes, and/or institutional stakeholders. - Experience acting as a primary interface between a company or program and an external customer, at both technical and management levels. - Strong organizational skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and presentation tools for analysis and reporting. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. - Fluency in English required. Fluency in French will be considered a strong plus. Fluency in other European languages appreciated - Strong written communication skills in English, including briefs, summaries, and proposal inputs. - Eligibility to work in France. **Preferred Skills & Experience** - Master’s degree in an engineering, science, business, or international affairs discipline. - Familiarity with the European institutional space landscape, including ESA industrial policy and geographical return mechanisms. - Experience with a CRM (Salesforce or similar) and research or list-building tools. - Ability to translate complex technical and market information into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences. - Comfortable balancing several projects at once in a dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities. - Self-motivated, curious, and solutions-focused, with a genuine passion for the space industry. - Experience thriving in a startup or small-office environment, comfortable operating independently and as a “one-person team” when needed. - Strong negotiation, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the flexibility to adjust to abrupt changes in strategic direction. - Passion for the space industry and for changing “business-as-usual” paradigms. **Additional Requirements** - Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within Europe. - Willingness to accommodate meetings across European and US Pacific time zones, and to work occasional evenings or weekends in support of critical mission milestones. *We calibrate level and compensation to the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated capability.
