The Suffolk County Department of Health Services is seeking to fill the position of Psychiatric Social Worker for the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Hauppauge. Provides direct psychotherapy to patients of the OTP which would include emergency services when warranted; Performs casework and case management services with patients. Confers with relatives, collateral contacts and community agencies to assist in serving patients at the OTP; Is part of a multi-disciplinary team and participates in case conferences and staff meetings to discuss, diagnose and appropriately treat patients. ** Performs other duties as required. NOTE: The work shift for this role is 6:00am-2:00pm, Tuesday - Saturday Salary: $69,374 *This position does not offer relocation assistance at this time **Sponsorship is not available for this role MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OPEN COMPETITIVE Graduation from a college with federally-authorized accreditation or registration by NY State with a Master's Degree in Social Work AND Certification as Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the New York State Department of Education. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Certification as Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the New York State Department of Education must be maintained throughout employment in this title. At the time of appointment, and during employment in this title, employees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job.
