This role includes: Conducting in-person consults at Riverside Regional Medical Center Providing virtual consults at three additional Riverside hospitals Covering 12-hour shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule Participating in after-hours and weekend call coverage Optional additional compensation for call coverage at Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center during your “on” week 🧠 Clinical Responsibilities Include: Performing psychiatric assessments and developing treatment plans Managing complex psychiatric and medical conditions Prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and attending physicians Coordinating specialty referrals and community transfers Responding to emergent situations and initiating life-saving interventions Educating patients and families on treatment options and care plans Advocating patient rights and diverse needs Documenting findings and maintaining regulatory compliance Demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and evidence-based practice ✅ Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain) Valid DEA registration Commitment to professional standards and compassionate care 🌐 Learn More Explore Riverside Medical Group and discover why we’re the perfect place to grow your career: 🔗 Riverside Medical Group – Provider Recruitment - Company Overview: Why Join Riverside?
