Job description
Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and quality procedures. Inspect surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting and protective coating activities. Verify surface cleanliness, profile, ambient conditions, paint mixing, application method, wet-film thickness and dry-film thickness. Inspect coating repairs, touch-ups, holiday testing and final acceptance. Verify paint materials, batch numbers, expiry dates, storage conditions and manufacturer certificates. Inspect HVAC ductwork, supports, dampers, insulation, equipment installation and piping. Check installation of AHUs, FCUs, ventilation fans, package units and other HVAC equipment. Verify duct dimensions, alignment, joint sealing, pressure testing and air-leakage testing. Witness flushing, pressure testing, testing, balancing and commissioning activities. Raise inspection requests and coordinate inspections with the client and consultant. Issue NCRs for non-conforming work and monitor corrective actions until closure. Maintain inspection reports, test records, calibration certificates and quality dossiers. Ensure measuring and testing equipment has valid calibration. Coordinate with construction, engineering, subcontractor and HSE teams. Ensure work complies with project safety and quality requirements. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5–7 years of QC inspection experience in oil and gas, EPC or industrial projects. Relevant experience in painting/coating and HVAC inspection. UAE and ADNOC project experience is preferred. BGAS, NACE/AMPP or equivalent coating certification is preferred. Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, ISO, SMACNA, ASHRAE and project-specific standards. Ability to read HVAC drawings, P&IDs, layouts, specifications and inspection documents. Good communication, reporting and coordination skills. . Relevant experience in painting/coating and HVAC inspection. UAE and ADNOC project experience is preferred.
