Quality Management Systems Lead

### **Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced **Quality Management Systems (QMS) Lead** to oversee and continuously improve our quality systems within a fast-paced aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with industry standards, including **NADCAP**, and ensuring that all quality processes meet regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in aerospace or defense manufacturing, deep knowledge of special process controls, and hands-on experience managing audits and quality certifications. ### Responsibilities: - Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with **NADCAP**, AS9100, and other applicable standards - Serve as the primary point of contact for **NADCAP audits**, including preparation, execution, and corrective action management - Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements across manufacturing operations - Develop and maintain quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and process flows - Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and FMEA - Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are embedded throughout production processes - Monitor and report on key quality metrics, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives - Train and mentor internal teams on QMS processes, audit readiness, and quality best practices - Manage internal audit programs and support external audits (customer, regulatory, and certification bodies) - Ensure control and compliance of special processes such as heat treating, coatings, welding, or nondestructive testing (NDT), as applicable
